Mom started a new blog for us. It will have pics of us and some recipes and stuff about dogs--particularly city dogs.

See Spot Live Longer and Our New Home Cooked Food

Mom is always worrying about our food and wanting it to be as healthy as possible. She bought this e book and read it and it had some good advice so she decided to tweak it for our purposes. She is cooking up home cooked kibble toppers to add to our kibble (except Tubs) who is on raw medallions. So far she has made us chicken hearts ground up and cooked a little with raw veggies (spinach, apples, parsley, cauliflower, etc) and anything thats leftover. This weekend she is going to make us stew with chicken, sweet potatoes, carrots, and some pasta. We love the new food, the only sad part is Bingo would have enjoyed it so much. We sure miss him. He was such a great little guy.

New Years Resolutions

Mom is posting these a bit late

1) Mom will try to follow our example and live in the moment rather then worry about the future (very hard for mom)
2) Mom will give us more baths
3) We will get more vitamins and suplements in our food and some home cooking (yeah!)
4) Pet insurance (embrace) for those of us who are 1nsurable (Norbert, Bob, Scooter). Any new dogs (hopefully years off) will get insured right away, what a mistake mom made not getting this for us years ago.
5) Lots of time with mom and dad-we also get this and we always resolve to still get more

Fall

We had a busy Halloween-lots of fun. Mom made our favorite pumpkin brownies. Tubby and Ping dressed as godzilla and mothra. Bob had a bat costume and Norbert and Bingo had halloween ties. Zira had a little halloween dress and hat.

Thanksgiving is coming and mom says it will be very small this year. Just us, so no turkey. She is going to make a roast chicken instead. She did promise to make us some thanksigiving treats though, maybe more pumpkin brownies

Happy Summer

Summers almost here, our favorite season! We get to play outside and go to lots of dog events and outings. So far Tubby and Ping have been to shake shack at union squre in manhattan, Norbert and Bob have been to lots of different parks in the area, and Bingo and Zira have gone to the park to sit on the grass (they arent big walkers) Happy summer to all the dogsters, remember it passes quickly!

Christmas pug party

All the pugs went to the Christmas pug party and sunday and had a great time. Bingo spent the whole time under the treat table. The pugs got a nice new shampoo in the secret santa gift exchange and they got a great picture with Santa Clause. The party was at a Best Friends doggie day care and they had a sale so Norbert got a new collar and leash and Ping got a new collar and harness.

Christmas

We had a very good Christmas dinner. Turkey meat loaf. Mom based the recipe on one from Bark magazine. Here is the recipe.

2 lb ground turkey or chicken
1 lb mixed frozen veggies (mom used cascadian farms, but no onions)
1 sweet potato diced
2 eggs beaten
chopped parsley, 1/4 cup
1 cup cooked oatmeal
1/2 cup ground flaxseed

Preheat oven to 350. Stir all the ingredients together and put in a greased 9x12 inch pan. Bake 1 hr. Enjoy!

Photos of some of our friends

You can see on our page that mom added some photos of our friends. There are our frenchie friends Bentley and Fiona who stayed with us for four days awhile ago and Meow-Meow our cat friend who is Nacho, our shih tzu friends, cat sister. Meow-Meow is very cute and she and Nacho will be staying with us for three weeks starting over Christmass while her t heir mom goes to China. We will also have a new friend, a dog belonging to mom's co-worker, staying with us over the Christmass vacation so we will have a full house!

New tattoo

Last week I got a new dog themed tattoo in honor of my beloved dogs. Id been thinking about getting a dog tattoo for a while but didnt know what to get. A few months ago Bark magazine had an article about dog tattoos and I decided I really wanted one. I didnt want a portrait, I wanted something abstract. I got a keith haring outline of a dog to represent all dogs and five paws to represent my dgos and a heart to represent my love of dogs. Im happy with the result.

Naps

Our new page features our favorite activity, naps! Particularly naps in the bed in the afternoon with mom or dad Mom is the photographer so the naps pictured show Dad, who like us can sleep any time anywhere, but we also love naps with Mom. You can also see that Baby the cat, and though not pictured, often the other cats love to take naps as well.
