Arrival Story:
A while back, I was surfing Petfinder.com and ran across Monty's profile. I debated about it, but finally adopted him on June 13, 2007. Unbeknownst to me, his previous owners in Friendswood dumped him at the pound because he had cancer. In fact, the scumbags that dumped him withheld his medical records in hopes of getting a free euthanasia courtesy of the City of Houston. A rescue group intervened and now Monty is living out his last few days in a wonderfully spoiled way. All-the-while taunting his feline brother, Ellis.

Bio:
I hope his scum-sucking former owners live with guilt each and every day over dumping this wonderful soul. Can you imagine driving off from the pound and looking out your back window at a wonderful beast crying and wagging his tail? Still wagging his tail. Even after being dumped. That is what makes dogs great. Monty is great and my life is better for having rescued him. Even if he is dying and even if I haven't had him a long time...Loving someone like Monty makes my life worth living.

Forums Motto:
I was dumped because I have cancer.

Monty:
My previous owners dumped me at the shelter because I had cancer. My horrible former owners also 'doctored' my vet records so that nobody knew I had cancer. A rescue group saved me and now I live with a great mom and feline brother. PLEASE, LIKE MY OWNER DID -- ADOPT AN OLDER DOG! ADOPT AN OLDER DOG! ADOPT AN OLDER DOG
