Arrival Story:
I was born in Memphis, TN, somehow I got separated from my first family, I'm not sure how, but I know that it was just after my last litter of puppies. Somehow when I was out there on my own, I had a run in with a car, not too much damage, just some cuts and bruises, some road rash and I lost a toenail. It was so cold on December 23, 1999 when the car hit me, I just couldn't go any farther, so I smelled around for a house with other dogs, I figured if the humans there had other dogs maybe they would help me. And help me they did! They took me to the vet and got me fixed up real good. They let me sleep in the house where it was warm with their other babies, Snuggles (March 1984 - December 2000) and Jingles (November 1989 - March 2006), they put up signs and notified all of the proper authorities, but my first family must not have seen the posters or heard about me because they didn't call. I just became one of the babies, I really loved my new Mom & Dad, and my new brother, Jingles and my new sister, Snuggles, they all took such good care of me and welcomed me into their family.
Bio:
I had only been with my family for one year when on December 19, 2000, Snuggles had a stroke and passed away. It was a sad Christmas that year, but we got through it. Then in December 2003 I got really sick. The vet said something I ate, could be, you know us chow hounds are not too particular! Anyway, it caused liver problems and the vet did not think I would make it. But thanks to the good care by Mom & Dad, I am here today. I moved to Spring Hill, Florida in March 2005 with Mom & Dad, Jingles and Kitty Boy, my feline brother that came to live with us in 2001. Sadly, Jingles left us after only one year in Florida on March 14,2006, but he was really sick, just too sick to live. I still miss him. Then in May 2006, Mom and Dad brought Buddy home from the Humane Society, he was kind of timid at first but now he's become a great friend.

Well, it must be bath day, I saw Buddy go under the bed and he never does that unless Mom is going to give him a bath. Funny Mom always says she can't get all the dust from under the bed, all she needs to do is say bath and the crazy little "dust mop" Buddy will take care of it for her! I seem to be feeling a little better, but it's so hot... where is winter anyway? Mom says it's hotter in other cities, I don't see how a dog can take 100 degrees or more!

It's been really hot, so I am spending most of my time resting on the couch. When I got up this morning I didn't feel well, threw up and still didn't feel much better. Mom is watching me to make sure I am drinking water, I did not want any breakfast. I will be going to the vet if things don't change by in the morning. Since I really don't like going to the vet, especially getting my temp taken, I am trying my best to get better on my own. I will post news tomorrow.
