Rough housing with Dancer, sleeping on you! [He sleeps generally next to hubby, I cant tolerate him laying on my shoulder with his head across my throat!] Chewing on anything that gets in his way. He LOVES to watch TV.
Pet-Peeves:
Having to potty in one area of the yard, covering your face so he cant see it, running the fence with the neighbors dog, having either mommy or daddy leave, getting his nails trimmed. He is full of peeves! :-)
Favorite Toy:
Nyla bones, dried chicken treats, a kong toy, and a "boogie" made out of old socks.
Favorite Food:
Right now it is fresh poop! My vet says he will grow out of it! He loves his dried chicken treats
Favorite Walk:
Walk? Walk? This little guy walks no where, its a constant run, a blur in the hall.......
Best Tricks:
Leaping from the stairs onto the couch, sitting completely still and watching TV, giving me ^5, sitting on the kitchen table.
Arrival Story:
Oreo came to us when we decided it was time to start looking to fill the hole left in our life after the loss of Torre. We had went to a breeder but I simply couldnt take a puppy with me, [it obviously wasnt the right time then] and the pet stores werent going to cut it, although I have to admit, Torre was a puppy mill/pet store dog, so I must have been lucky. It was difficult to find a reputable breeder in Northern Colorado, but with some persistance I found one. I went to the breeder to look at Oreo first, then my husband went with me again, and we brought him home a few days later. My one and only hesitation was getting a male, as I have always had female dogs. There was no logical reason for wanting a female, I couldnt even say why I felt that way other than I always had females. After crossing that hurdle, he came to his new home! He is black and white with sprinkles of brindle markings in him, and he really is a beautiful little boy! He is already spoiled rotten, and after his first night home, although crate trained, he never slept in the kennel/crate again. He is a constant reminder of the little razor sharp teeth puppies have, and although its sometimes scary watching he and Dancer play together, the get along great. Watching him grow and meld into our family is wonderful!
Bio:
Oreo's name came about in a bit of an unusual way. Since he is black and white, with a clear separation of colors, I commented that he looked like an oreo cookie. Then I got a case of the giggles when I realized I could spell it in such a way that he was named after my father! My fathers name is Orr [I know, very unusual] with the middle initial of E.... My dad gets the biggest kick out of the fact that we have named his "grand-dog" after him......Hence the pronunciation of Oreo, but the spelling of Orr-E-Oh. The Oh is sort of the "oh my" part. We thought of something St Patricks day related since he was born on the holiday, but nothing seemed to fit. Oreo it is!

Currently Oreo is chewing his way through the house, he adores shoes, [but only mommies] and has already torn up the netting that lines the bottom of the box springs on our new bed! He loves his chew toys and nyla bone, but he will chew anything that gets in his way! And if it isnt in his way, he will find a way. He has taken over a recliner and is the self proclaimed master, but truthfully, we think he only wants the chair because the cat sleeps there. Its often hard to punish him without laughing at his antics! He adores watching tv and will sit on the end of the bed to watch. And of course he has his Elway # 7 shirt to keep daddy happy.
