Arrival Story:
The Bohdi was dumped at Big City Bread when he was about 6 weeks old. We walked there every day with our wonderful cocker spaniel Raven (Boo Boo). We went in for our coffee and when we came out this little white fur ball was sitting next to Boo Boo looking up at us. It was still dark and the only other person in the Bakery said the pup wasn’t his. I put him in my posket and we took him home. This was just the start of the wonderful story of how the Bohdi was sent to save Boo Boo. We used the Monks of New Skete regimen to train the Bohdi so I was taking him out every two hours round the clock. Under most circumstances you don’t watch your dog poop but because of this situation I saw Boo Boo do his stuff more often than usual. I started to notice he was straining so I tried to figure out why. The only change I could think of was that we were giving the Bohdi rawhide chews. I Googled them and read that they could get impacted and cause problems. We took Boo Boo in and the Vet said, “It’s not rawhide, it’s cancer.!” This started Boo Boo’s two and a half year battle which he finally lost in April of 2007.

Bio:
We feel that the Bohdi was a gift. If we had not found hin we probably would not have found Boo Boo's cancer until it was too late to do much. Instead we had two and a half more years and Boo Boo had a great pal who kept his spirits up through radiation, chemo, surgery and lot's of other issues. The Bohdi has not show many signs of mourning Boo Boo, in fact he seems to have matured greatly since he died. We try not to ascribe human characteristics to critters so we just know that Bodhi misses Boo Boo in his own way.
