Bath Time!

Momma gave me & my brother Brownie a bath tonight. She also brushed my teethies. It was very delicious...liver flavored tooth paste, ya can't say no to that!...Although Brownie did. He's never had his teeth brushed so he didn't know what to think. Momma tried to get him to lick the brush, but he just wasn't having it. Maybe next time, that pup really doesn't know what he's missing. Well, after my bath I felt so relaxed. I felt like my puppy self. It just feels good on these old bones. After I started running around with Brownie & playing with any toy I could find. It was fun.

Well, pups I'm off to ask Momma for some Canine Carryouts. Gotta flash the "you just gave me a bath, look at my big puppy eyes, don't you love me, please take pity on my old bones" look.


Peeker the Pekingese

Hey what happened? For the love of a Peke!

I am one sad pup. Brownie destroyed all of my favorite toys...my Pooh *Bow bow wowwwww* Oh my poor beautiful Pooh is gone!...and my Barnie, well, that's gone too...so is Tweety & my blue ball toy. He even destroyed the Bo Bo toy Momma bought. All that's left for me is that weird squeaky lamb and I'm NOT touching that thing!

Momma is just going to have to get me some new toys because this is just not good. When a Pekes gotta play, then a Pekes gotta play! *woof*

Well, time to go talk to Brownie & tell him to stop pulling all the stuffing out of all of my toys. Sheesh!

Back on Dogster!

Hello friends!

I'm back on Dogster after being away with my little Momma Sarah in Richmond, VA. It's been a long time with no update it seems, so I better make up for lost time.

Momma was planning on updating my pictures, but for some reason the computer won't upload all of the pictures Momma took from the camera. Momma says, "You call this an EasyShare camera!?!...Oh, for the love of Pete! There is nothing easy about sharing anything from this camera...why won't you just work!?! FOR THE LOVE OF PETTTTTTEEEEEEEEEE!"

She's silly.

Anyway...Momma got me a new collar for Christmas. She said that since I'm 11 years old & going on 12 years old next year, that I should wear something befitting a pup of such wisdom, experience, and timeless beauty...something to show all those young pup what it's all about and who the boss really is...so she got me a nice new collar that's a shiny light leather blue with crystals all around it. It's very fancy, but then again I am a royal Pekingese.

Haven't been feeling well

For the past couple days I have not been feeling so hot. I haven't been eating my dry senior food and I've had diarrhea really bad...so bad that I couldn't control on *bow* BMs...if ya get my drift.

Momma gave me some Pepto mixed in with my moisty food and so far I'm feeling much better. Much more peppy. I still think I should take it easy though...my big Momma will take me outside so I can sun my belly...it's good for my old joints.

*Bow* It's tough getting older, but you just have to keep on keepin' on...and no little stomach bug can hold down this Peke!

I WAS DIARY OF THE DAY!?!

I WAS DIARY OF THE DAY!?! When did this happen!?! Gosh, I'm kinda dissapointed that I missed my day yesterday. I found out this morning from one of my new pup pals.

Well, I am very honored though. I wonder how that happened...Diary of the Day...Gosh *Bow* that's very exciting.

I hope everyone enjoyed my diary and about me. Makes me feel very special. I think I'll chant : "Go Peeker, Go Peeker, Diary of the Day, Go Peeker!"

Here's some facts about me:

1. I have had 6 owners in my lifetime. I know what you must be thinking...SIX, Peeker you had SIX owners!?! Well, you see, I was born into a puppy mill. Yep, it's not a very fun place, but thankfully the Henrico Humane Society rescued me over ten years ago. I guess I wasn't the easiest pup to train, since by the time I was nine months old I was on my 5th owner...I have to admit, even now I am a bit set in my ways...but atleast I found my forever Mommas...and really, that's all any pup can ask for :) *arf*

2. My name wasn't always Peeker. Strange to think, isn't it? Yep, yep, well at one point an elderly woman had named me "Buddy" and for a little while it stuck...everyone started calling me "Buddy." Personally, I don't know what they were thinking, but thankfully my forever Momma knew. I'M A PEKINGESE for goodness sake...I'm PEEKER THE PEKINGESE! *Woof Woof*

3. I MUST have my morning moisty or else I BARK *WOOF WOOF WOOOO* I get sooo excited after my walk that I tap-a-tap my feet and if my Momma doesn't move fast enough I'll let her know that she's taking too long. *Bow wow* Although my Momma does squeek this pink curly lamb at me...two squeeks from that thing and I quiet down. Wouldn't you!?!...Toys that squeek, that's just not natural! *Bow*...Not natural at all!

4. My most favorite toy is my stuffed Pooh bear toy. There is truly nothing better, except real food of course, than chompin' on a Pooh ear. My Momma picked out a good one...not bad for a $1 toy bear from the dollar store. My Momma has very good taste.

5. I love to where my coats. I have a few. One is my sweater that's blue with little bones all over it. It's very cozy and nice on those cold days...esp if it ever snows. I also have a beautiful light blue fancy sweater with very sparkly buttons and a white bow design with sequins that goes down the back. My Momma got that from Anthropologie just for me...I always feel like one fancy pup whenever I wear it. My other coat is my rain coat. It's yellow with little duck buttons. I can't wear the hood part though because it's too big for my little face and gets in my way, but the coat is very nice. I also have t-shirts, but my coats are my favorites.

6. My favorite place to be is right in front of the glass storm door at my old house in Richmond. The sun shines directly in through the door and just fills the whole hall with light. The floor warms up and I'll just sit there on the front mat, with my toy of course, and sun myself...watch the neighbors go to work, walk their own pups (who better not get too close to my door yard), see whose coming and who's going, and just plain watch the world go by. Oh how I miss my home in Richmond. I grew up there.

7. I have out lived two other siblings. When I came to live with my forever Mommas, I also lived with a 4 year old cat named Sunny. He was a very...well, let's just say pleasently plump...light orange tabby cat. He was very shy, but very sweet too. He lived 3 more years before he passed away of bone cancer. My little Momma buried him along the wood line near the house and last Spring my Momma dumped a Lily plant that just wouldnt grow...well, two weeks ago when we went back up to Richmond, what do ya know! The lilies grew and were in bloom right over his grave. It was so pretty and I'm sure Simon had a paw in that one...as if to say, "Here Momma I help you grow them."

Then a little while after that, my little Momma's (Sarah) friends gave her a little orange tabby kitten that she named Simon. Simon and I were good pals. He was fiesty, a real protector, he loved to go outside and walk with me on my walks, he loved to hunt, and he loved to walk other neighbors straight to their door after they went to go get the mail or their groceries, he also liked to nap on peoples cars lol. He was one cool cat! Sadly, he was hit by a car about a year and a half ago...although my Momma thinks that foul play was involved because his big bright red light up tag was completely missing and no where to be found when my Mommas went to go get him...and from the way that he was hit, it would have surely been close by. From the look of it, he was on his way back home to us, but never quite made it.

Now I live with two cats...Samantha and little Polkadot.

OOH...and why not include just an extra fact about me...I also have a song!

I just got back from a mini vacation!

Hi Friends :)

I've just gotten back from vacation with my Mommas. We went back up to Virginia...to our old house, which is still for sale. It was really nice to be back their. I missed it sooooooo much. I mean, I did grow up there. I had lots of good memories. Plus I can look out the front glass door or the huge back slider door out into the garden.

Speaking of the garden...it looked very nice this summer. All the flowers I helped my Momma plant are growing so fast. The hydrangea actually bloomed this year, since it was planted. The flowers were so big and blue. I visited the field by the side of the house too. I remember when I was around 7 years old and my little Momma, Sarah, took my picture in the field...she took several more of me in that field too. I think she wanted to capture as many memories in the old house as she could until it sells to another owner.

I'll have to put some pictures up for everyone to see soon.

I did so well on the car ride as well. We even brought along my new little kitty sister, Polkadot. My little Momma setup a page for her as well. You can visit Dot's site and look at all of her baby pictures. Dot did very well in the car as well. I really like her. When I first met her I went right up to her and gave her a big sniff over. She has that baby smell. hee hee hee. Then after I sniffed her I ran into my room and got my Tweety bird toy to show her. I think it's important she understands which toys are mine and which toys are hers...I have a hard time sharing, what can I say.

Well, it's been a long journey. I think i'm going to take a nap.
