Nicknames: Peek...Peeka...P-DOUBLE E-K-E-R Peeker, Peeker you're a star!
Likes: There are two things that I love more than anything...my Momma's and my stuffed toys...well, maybe three...I love my morning moisty! *woof woof*
Pet-Peeves: I can't stand hyper dogs that go peeps in my yard, try to attack me or fighten my Momma's...yous guys better back off! *bow!*...I also do NOT like toys that squeek. It's just not natural!
Favorite Toy: I love my Pooh first and foremost (there's nothing like chompin on a Pooh ear!)...then comes Tweety...followed by my Barnie toy and my blue ball toy. My four favorites!
Favorite Food: I'll pretty much eat anything...I love my morning moisty though, my bacon treats, crunchy milkbones, and of course cheese :)
Favorite Walk: I don't like long walks...just up the street and back please, that's all I need. I like walking in grassy fields so if I want to catch a bit of sun for a few minutes I can do that too.
Best Tricks: I can nap really well...that counts right? *Woof?*
Arrival Story: I came to live with my Momma's (Barbara, who I call my big Momma...and her daughter Sarah, who is my little Momma) over ten years ago. I had a real ruff start in the beginning. I was born into a puppy mill. Thankfully people from the Richmond, VA Humane Society rescued me and found a home for me...well, five homes. Yeah...*woof*...umm...My previous five owners all ended up giving me back to the Humane Society...and I was only 9 monthes old! They labeled me a "last chance" dog. I was going to be put to sleep *bow WOW OWWW WOW WOW!* if I didn't work out at my next home. My previous owners just didn't understand me. They wouldn't train me. Gosh, I didn't know there was a difference from going peeps inside from the outside. I was kept crated all day and I did not like that *BOW!* Not at all!
Well, one weekend back in 1996, my foster Mom took me to a Borders book store for a Humane Society adoption day. Wouldn't ya know it...I fell in love that day! My forever big Momma Barbara was walking into the book store to buy a book for Sarah...she was just in middle school then. My big Momma took one look at me and that was that. We was in love from that very moment. Sarah and Barbara hadn't had a dog in almost 10 years...the thought to get another one hadn't even crossed their mind, but they walked in to buy a book and came out with a dog....ME!!!
I was no longer a second chance dog because of them. They understood me...they pampered me...loved me like I never felt love before. We's were in love and still are to this day! They let me have the run of the house, snuggle, you name it. Now I'm almost 11 years old and still as happy as a 9 month old puppy.
*Wahhh woo woof!*
Bio: I share my home with my two human Momma's...Samantha, a pretty two year old cat...Polkadot, a little black & white dotted kitten...Maggie, a two year old guinea pig...and some fish...and a little Chihuahua puppy named Brownie.
I also want to take the time to send a big *woof* out to Simon, Sunny, Hammie, and all those guineas & fish that have passed on over to the Rainbow Bridge. We'll all be together again one day. You'll never be forgotten!
Forums Motto: P-DOUBLE E-K-E-R, Peeker, I'm a star!
Momma gave me & my brother Brownie a bath tonight. She also brushed my teethies. It was very delicious...liver flavored tooth paste, ya can't say no to that!...Although Brownie did. He's never had his teeth brushed so he didn't know what to think. Momma tried to get him to lick the brush, but he just wasn't having it. Maybe next time, that pup really doesn't know what he's missing. Well, after my bath I felt so relaxed. I felt like my puppy self. It just feels good on these old bones. After I started running around with Brownie & playing with any toy I could find. It was fun.
Well, pups I'm off to ask Momma for some Canine Carryouts. Gotta flash the "you just gave me a bath, look at my big puppy eyes, don't you love me, please take pity on my old bones" look.
I am one sad pup. Brownie destroyed all of my favorite toys...my Pooh *Bow bow wowwwww* Oh my poor beautiful Pooh is gone!...and my Barnie, well, that's gone too...so is Tweety & my blue ball toy. He even destroyed the Bo Bo toy Momma bought. All that's left for me is that weird squeaky lamb and I'm NOT touching that thing!
Momma is just going to have to get me some new toys because this is just not good. When a Pekes gotta play, then a Pekes gotta play! *woof*
Well, time to go talk to Brownie & tell him to stop pulling all the stuffing out of all of my toys. Sheesh!
I'm back on Dogster after being away with my little Momma Sarah in Richmond, VA. It's been a long time with no update it seems, so I better make up for lost time.
Momma was planning on updating my pictures, but for some reason the computer won't upload all of the pictures Momma took from the camera. Momma says, "You call this an EasyShare camera!?!...Oh, for the love of Pete! There is nothing easy about sharing anything from this camera...why won't you just work!?! FOR THE LOVE OF PETTTTTTEEEEEEEEEE!"
Anyway...Momma got me a new collar for Christmas. She said that since I'm 11 years old & going on 12 years old next year, that I should wear something befitting a pup of such wisdom, experience, and timeless beauty...something to show all those young pup what it's all about and who the boss really is...so she got me a nice new collar that's a shiny light leather blue with crystals all around it. It's very fancy, but then again I am a royal Pekingese.
Peeker the Pekingese!
