Arrival Story: My husband had grown up with Chihuahuas but I had never had one. When Frankie became available to us after a few weeks of searching, it was ON my husbands birthday and so Frankie became his birthday surprise. Frankie quickly became a Mama's boy, but Daddy soon made up for it by rescuing a new sister, "Missy" from the local SPCA shelter. Chihuahuas have really grown on us, and so has the 'pack' Frankie got used to them in short order and loves romping with everyone very much!
Bio: Frankie is considered "blue" color (hard to tell in pictures) and several people have asked if he is some kind of mini greyhound. Unfortunately, his color also means his fur is pretty thin. The lady who gave him to us had taken him to a vet about it, and they told her he has alopecia. She had many requests for Frankie when she was looking for a good home for him, and I am always so glad that she chose us. She said the fact she called to interview me and introduce me to Frankie turned out to be hubby's birthday was kind of a neat coincidence.
