Gretchen/Stretch
Gretchen was adopted!June 24th 2007 6:23 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Today the people who were doing a foster to adopt, decided to sign the papers and make Gretchen a furever part of their family. I was not surprised because she is just so sweet and cute as can be. She is getting along great with her new sibblings and the 2 yr old Doxie is her playmate. She sleeps in the people bed with her new family and she is a lucky little Doxie. It was good to see her and to hold her and give her cuddles. She remembered me and I reminded her family that I will take her back if they want her to leave. :) HaHa No way that is going to happen. I'd bet my last dollar on that. LOL Have a long and happy life sweet Gretchen. God and Missy will be watching out over you.
Sweet GretchenJune 22nd 2007 11:21 am[ Leave A Comment ]
I recieved a call that the perfect people want Gretchen as part of their family. They have 2 Doxies already and are awesome pet parents. It was such a mixed feeling I had. I want Gretchen to have a furever home not be in foster care for any long length of time so this was good. I want her to have a family of her own that will love her as much as we love out furbabies. They are that kind of family. Still in the short time I had her I had become very attached to her and she to me. They say they like the name Gretchen and will keep that name for her. :) She had been in like 4 homes in 3 days so she was scared and confused and needed constant reassurance that she was OK. I did that for her and enjoyed every minute if it. I fell in love with her and it was very hard to hand her over to someone I don't know. The people have been screened and approved so I do know they are right for Gretchen. I just feel so lost today without her. Being a foster is not an easy job. Not when you have a Gretchen!
Vitamins?June 20th 2007 8:04 am[ Leave A Comment ]
Well bright and early this AM my foster Mom took me out to potty, gave me breakfast and some Benadryl for my allergies and some other stuff. She said it's called vitamins. It tasted really good. Bella, Buddy and Heidi got some too and they gobbled it down. She said it is good for my body and she wants me to get all strong for my spay surgery in July.
I am in yet another house!June 19th 2007 9:25 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I am in my third house in two days! I was rescued from the pound by a real sweet lady. I was with her for a week. Someone in her family died so she had to go away for a while. I thought it was my new home. She said she is coming back for me when she can. She took me to another house and I liked it there but I only stayed there a short time. Now I am at another house! The lady said I am going to be here a few days and then go back to the first house. It has been OK cause I was in the pound and I was scared there and lonely and felt lost and confused. These ladies have been nice to me and take good care of me so I'm OK now. I like Bella, Buddy and Heidi OK. They are all bigger then I am so my foster Mom says I can't play with them unless she is with me. She wants to make sure I am safe from accidents. She holds me a lot and hugs me and talks to me. She gave me a bath today. I didn't care for it but I smell good and my coat is very soft and pretty. She said I have what's called a cracked eye. That means part of my eye is blue and the other part is brown. She says I am very pretty and I'm special too. She says I will find a good home very fast because I am so pretty and so sweet. I don't potty in my crate and she thinks that is great. She says I am smart. :) She said I can stay here till I get adopted. I guess we will see if that happens. For now I feel loved and have food and water and cuddles. That's a good thing.
