Arrival Story:
I was volunteering at the shelter in Cookeville, TN & they had 3 Doberman pups. Jett was the only red & was so sweet & friendly. I took her home that day.
Bio:
Jett is an important member of our family. She is steady as a rock. She loves our kids & is very protective of them. When my oldest screamed in laughter b/c a visitor had lifted him high into the air, Jett was ready to go into action. I'd never seen her bark or growl at any person in her 7 years of life, until that day. ****Jett has died very suddenly from a blood clot to the lungs. She will forever be missed by our entire family. She was the most wonderful dog ever.

My furriend Zyp tagged me, so here are the rules fur the game:

All lymph nodes are clear & the toe is gone. The toe was biopsied & no cancer had spread in the tissues or bone. So, now her foot looks a bit like an ostrich foot, haha.
She is doing great-- no limping, no problems. The only concern is that she is TOO energetic-- she needs to take it easy for about 2 more weeks. No easy task with spazzo Harley & foster dog Sassy ( a heeler mix). They like to get crazy together.
So, hopefully, here's to at least 3 or 4 more years together. Even that's not really long enough, but I'll take any time I can have with my Jetta.

Jett's x-rays and lymph nodes are clear! So we are going ahead with the toe amputation next Thursday. Hopefully, she will heal quickly & adjust to this change. Harley won't know what to do while she's out of commission for a few weeks! Another update to follow the surgery.
