Doggie Dynamics:

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

May 22nd 2006

Huxley loves to swim, dig, play with other dogs and chase squirrels.

Favorite Toy:
Stuffed animals that he can tear the guts out of and a squeaky dumbell.

Favorite Food:

Best Tricks:
Huxley can sit, stay, laydown, shake and play dead, but only when he wants to.

Arrival Story:
Huxley's litter was accidental. His mom is a purebred Australian Shelperd with similar coloring to Hux. The owners of his mommy told us when we picked him up at 8 weeks that he was a purebred, they had been given another purebred male and told he was neutered, but that wasn't the case. At 8 weeks old when we picked him up he looked exactly like a little furry Aussie, but when he grew a beard and his fur started curling at the age of 12 weeks we knew he was no purebred.

Huxley is a little angel one minute and the devil himself the next. He has been through the Puppy Socialization & Companion Dog Level 1 and 2 obedience classes at the local Humane Society. Hux has now received his Canine Good Citizen's award from the AKC!

All went well and I am finally able to run like mad! My leg is sore and I limp a lot, but mom and dad say it's getting better. I don't like not being able to chase Shelby full out yet and one in awhile when we are wrestling I cry, but I love not having to deal with mom putting ointment on my boo boos anymore.

My dad and I have a new game! We have a doggy pool outside and dad takes a five gallon pale and scoops up water and throws it out over the yard. I love to run after it and bark and growl. I jump and run and get soaked! It feels great out in the summer heat.

Talk to you later!

So my next appointment at the vet is this Thursday. Daddy is taking me and they are taking out all the pins!! I will finally be able to go on long walking in the park and chase squirrels and go outside by myself again!!

PLUS, I'll get to jump and wrestle on Shelby without mom and dad going CALM DOWN PUPPIES!!!

Well, it's dinner time so I have to log off.

Well X-rays were taken Saturday and it's not the greatest news. The bones have not slipped, they are still where they should be, but there isn't a big calcium deposit like Doc had hoped for. It's not what I'd hoped for either, I want this rods OUT so that I can run and play in my backyard with Shelby!

Mom and Dad have to take me back on Friday, Doc is going to take one of the rods out in hopes that the bone was being held too still and the calcium will deposit around the break.

Shelby is back home!!! I missed her so much.
