Mari keeps getting car sick...

Poor Mariposa Vida, she gets car sick everytime Grandma takes her anywhere and Grandma is always on the go. She has tried Dramamine, some expensive pills the vet gave her, Benadryl and all sorts of other stuff and she still gets sick. If any one out there has any suggestions, please email us and let us know. Grandma can't have a car sick dog, she is WAY to busy. Is there something we haven't tried? We are so desperate to help her. She just drools and drools and then she gets sick.

THIS is what you call wind?!

Would somebody please TURN OFF THE FAN!!!! This is just ridiculous! A girl can't even go out an go potty without getting blown over in the most compromising of positions. How embarrassing and in front of Charley too. My 8, unbalanced pounds, is no match for 57 mph wind gusts. It blew mommy's prized grill over and broke her favorite Pacific Black Bear statue. Our back yard looks like a trash dump because it was trash day yesterday and all the neighbors trash blew into our back yard. EEEWWWW!!!! This is terrible but I know so many of my pup pals have SOOOOO much more to deal with. Hang in there guys! We are thinking of you and hoping for the best. My jowls may be flapping in the wind but at least I'm not and buried in 8 feet of snow. Spring is just around the corner! Hey...rain is better than 8 feet of snow!

Charley is doing great! Still riding high in the glow of being diary of the day. It hasn't changed him one bit. He is still the eternal sweetheart and still looking for his furever home. Foster mom thinks he is the best ever to come into rescue. Keep your paws crossed for him. That's all for now. Bark at ya later!

Charley gets diary of the day!

I am so happy for Charley that he got diary of the day. He deserves some Dogster love and he got tons of it today. Yea Charley!!! The only problem is that all this attention will bring potential families to his site and he may get adopted. I want him to have a furever home, I just want it to be this one. I have a puppy crush on him but...ssshhhhh, don't tell him. He is so sweet I can't help myself. Congratulations Charley on getting diary of the day. Paws crossed you find a home that appreciates you as much as this one.

A strange thing happened on the way to the food bowl...

So mom has had me on RAW for a few months now to control the IDB. It has worked GREAT! No more IBD. However, being new to RAW hae had not given me much variety out of fear and lack of knowledge. Well, she must have been doing a lot of reading because tonight there was a bone in chicken thigh in my bowl. WOOHOO!!! A what? I didn't know what is was at first so gave me a little piece to taste and that's all I needed. I was all over it.

Poor Charley, our foster dog, he didn't get any and he was really sad. He kept trying to get mine and I was having NO part of that! It was a bone with just the right amount of meat on it. I ate the meat and started on the bone and then mom says....you won't believe this....."Ok sweety, that's enough." Uh.....excuse me? I decide when I'm done remember? Apparently she didn't remember that rule because she tried to take my bone. Almost a finger in the process! She had one end and I had the other and it was on! I was not letting go! Daddy was laughing at us so hard. She reached for my bone and I gave her "the look", it didn't work, so I had to fight for what was mine. Maybe it will be in my bowl again tomorrow. It was awesome!! P.S. Charley is doing great. He played with us today for hours and he is really coming around. He is such a sweety. Mommy let him sleep in the bed last night and he almost tried to take my spot. He didn't and everything worked out fine. He is going to be such a good buy in his forever home.

Charley palyed today!!!!!!

Oh...My....Gosh....!!!!!! Charley actually played with me today! I almost couldn't believe it. Mari and I have been trying since he got here yesterday to get him to play with us and he wouldn't. He would just sit on the chair and watch us play. Well, not today. He was chasing us and flying all over the furniture! He would go from the floor to the couch back to the floor and then onto the chair. Mommy was taking pictures and laughing so hard she didn't make us stop. It was PAWESOME!!! Go Charley! Go Charley! He is going to be a great Pap for someone in a forever home! We'll keep you posted!

Charley is here!!

So today, this new guy shows up. A GUY! OMD!! I don't think so. Like we need any more boys in this house. One boy was already one too many. Uugh! Gross! Then mommy tells me he is homeless because his mommy gave him away and we are trying to help. Well, I was so embarrassed by my diva behavior I tried to make him feel at home, sorta. He was kissing my mom! Hey!!! That's MY mom dude! And you haven't had your teeth brushed in.... years! Eeuuuwww! Mommy didn't seem to mind though she just laughed and loved on him. I had to get in on the action too. He is soooo sweet. I think if he is still here in February, I may ask him to be my Valentine. Ok, ok, so it took me a while to warm up. He's a gentleman, what can I say. I like the suave guys.

Anyway... he seems to be doing ok. Mommy is really worried because he is so over weight. He is favoring his right leg and mom suspects patela problems beaue of his weight. This is the second time in 3 years he has been in rescue and I just can't figure it out. I'm way more trouble than he is and mom just loves me. Come to think of it, I don't think he has even spoken since he has been here. I hope someone comes along that will give him a good home. He is such a sweet guy. If you know of anyone that wants a really extraordinary Papillon boy, PLEASE, let mommy know. She is so sad for this fur friend. That's all fur now. Bark at ya later!!

Unimagianble cruelty....

I am at a loss.... it is so hard to imagine that anyone could be so cruel and so brutal. Poor Spike. He must have sufferred so much, it breaks my heart into a million tiny pieces. In case you don't live in the Dallas Metroplex, I am referring to the case of Spike the Pomeranian. Spike, a 3 year old Pomeranian, was taken from his home and his family, and just a few blocks away was beaten so badly his skull was crushed and then he was doused with gasoline and set on fire. The police found his body the next morning. The family, as you can imagine, is just devastated, especially the children. His picture is the second one on my site.

This kind of cruelty is just mind boggling. How can someone do that to such a sweet pup? There is a reward of $11,000 so far and rising. One local businessman gave $5000 himself to help find out who did this. And then there is the reallity that this person, this devil, is still on the loose and walking our streets. To Spike's family, my most heartfelt condolences and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. I just can't imagine the pain that must be in your hearts.

To the barbarian that did this.....I hope they find you. I hope they convict you. I hope YOU burn.... How could you? How could you be so cruel, so evil? He was just a baby and was so loved by his family. Whatever punishment you get will in no way be harsh enough. Monster!

What?.....

OMG!! What just happened? We lost.... The Cowboys lost. Mommy says we should have, the way we played. Looked more like pre-season than post season. Mommy was so mad she threw my jersey in the fire pit. She almost threw her pink hoodie in there too but thought better of it. She's not a fair weather fan just really, really upset. It's ok though, it was too small for me anyway but dang! They must have been wearing jersey's like mine because they STUNK up the place! Oh my goodness, and to lose to the Giants!

Looks like I will get a new jersey next week.... a Packers jersey. Right now, it's go Green Bay and Brett Favre. We hope that they win because they may be the only ones that can bring it to the Patriots. So, we will see how things go. Other than the yelling and burning of jerseys it has been an un-eventful evening! BOL! Bark at ya later!

Eatin' the football!!

Ok! THAT'S IT!!!! If the Patriots score again, I am eatin' the football!! I hope the Cowboys show up tomorrow ready to play. I especially hope that blonde bad luck chic doesn't show up. I am very nervous. Haven't washed the jersey since the first Giants game of the season. Not sure if that is helping but it is gettin' stinky! Hopefully I won't have to wash it until early February! :) Everyone keep their paws crossed tomorrow! Go Cowboys!!

WOOHOO!! MARI VIDA IS COMING!!!!

WOOHOO!!! Mariposa Vida is coming to stay a week with us. Grandma has to go out of town for a week and we get to puupy sit. I am SO fired up. She is the coolest Pap ever and we can't wait to have her here. She has HUGE ears! We haven't seen her since Christmas so I'm sure she has grown and especially those ears. Grnadma has already warned mommy that she is active so I will let you know how it goes. This should be an interesting exsercize in mommy's patience..... She always said she wanted another Pap!!
