The Adventures of Gabi!

I almost drowned..but mom saved me.

Last night my grandma dropped me off from my volleyball game because I didnt want to stay at my sisters games for another 2 hours [XD] I was home alone and was taking off my v-ball stuff and I just kinda decided to look out the window and see what Gabi was doing, because earlier that day I saw her chasing birds XDD But instead I saw that our pool cover was moving, I saw that my very bestfriend was near drowning! I ran out there crying in histerics, I thought I was going to lose Gabi! I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to do, she was trying so hard to get out and we had just replaced the liner, so I didnt know if she'd ripped it in the attempt of trying to escape from the cover that would surely enclose on her and be the death of her. She put her front paws on the cement and was frantically trying to push herself out. I rushed over to her side, and grabbed her front legs and pulled her out. I was so scared, that you couldn't even believe it. I didnt want her to go this way and especially not this soon. I couldn't even describe the panic in her eyes. I was in utter shock, because she knows shes not supposed to be in the pool area and she absolutely hates water and cannot swim that well, because she has never done it before. Anyways, I unlocked the gate to let her out of the pool area, but she stayed by my side like she was saying that she is forever in my debt. I gave her some food and went inside to get her some extra blankets for the cold night trying to calm her down and sat there for a few minutes trying to warm her up. I had no idea how she had gotten in there because all of the gates were locked, but I later realized that she could jump from the little porch steps [where she lays in the sun almost all day x)] onto this pretty tall cabinet in the pool area..I guess she just got very curious, or got a thrill out of being "naughty" and I guess slipped or was trying to get a drink. I went out this morning and she seemed to be ok, but still a little bit timid and more content. Thank you all for reading this. Hugs to you all and hopefully you dont have to go through this ♥
