Arrival Story: On May 26, 2007 we picked up this precious, happy go lucky, Australian Cattle Dog, from an Animal Control halfway shelter. His name was Max. We have a Max so we re-named him Ozzie (aka Oswald Max Gunsmoke Gifford). Ozzie is a fine dog; he is good with our other dogs & with young children who visit. When with people he is very calm and focused. He was born 03/2006 and relinquished to Animal Control in early May 2007 because he kept getting out & the last time he got out he got into a more asertive dog's yard & was attacked Ozzie won but ended up costing his owner $100 for stitches to the other dog. We have his complete history for his whole life. We have not seen him be aggressive in any way. Ozzie romps & plays with our little 8 month old 9lb Poodle, PNut! & they have become fast friends! Bio: Although usually perfect in every way, he does have one flaw; he is an escape artist and a little destructive when separation anxiety kicks in & his people are not in sight. We can tell he is trying to get to us or to get our attention when he escapes because once out Ozzie stays in the front yard & he even tries to get back in the fence until we get him, (which is within seconds) when he sees us he comes straight to us and seems relieved that we are there! He can climb/jump a six foot fence...please enjoy the video.
