My grandmother had wanted a little dog to keep her company. And my brother, who lives in Lewistown, PA, knew a family that just had puppies and couldn't care for them, so he decided to rescue one for her... Poochie! My family drove all the way to his house to pick up Poochie for her. When we got there, Poochie was the tiniest little thing. He was all shaven, because he had caught fleas and other icky stuff from his parents... but he was so ugly, he was cute! I loved him at first sight, but I knew he was for my grandma. He slept on my lap the whole drive back home to New York. I was so sad to leave him at my grandma's house, but I visited him all the time. But after only a few weeks, Poochie had driven my grandma crazy...and she got so fed up, she threw him out and straight into my arms.
