Arrival Story:
Stardust came off of the racetrack in September of 2002, and spent some time with an adoption group in Alabama or Atlanta. Because she was special needs and hard to place due to being a spook, she never found a home, and in May of 2003, she was sent to a new adoption group in Augusta GA, named CSRA Greyhound Adoptions, and I was a part of that group. I had been wanting a brindle female with a cool racing name, and I'm partial to spooks, so it was a perfect match.
Bio:
Stardust was so scared when she first came to live with me. I could not get near her. I had to prop the door open and go away from it just to get her to come in and out of the house. Gradually, she has came to trust her forever family and loves us very much. She had came so far in the short time she has lived with us. She is still a little hand shy if you come towards her quickly or unexpecedly, but she is so much more trusting now. She even greets strangers and asks to be petted. We adore her and were so glad to be a part of showing her that life can be good, and love can be great!
