My First Entry

Woof woof, hi! I'm Clark. I"m just a pup right now. I'm so happy that I have a home. The shelter was ok, they fed me and took care of me, but it was so noisy with all those other dogs barking all the time. I didn't have much love there either. I already have so much love here at home.

Kyle, my human brother, he named me Clark. He loves Superman, and Kyle says they call him Clark Kent, so he said my name should be Clark, I guess he thinks I'm a Superdog, bol.

Before mom and dad got to take me home, I had to go to the vet. I didn't like it at all. I was really scared. They neutered me. I'm also all up to date on shots, didn't like those shots, but mom said I have to have them.

My first cookout...I got to go to Kyle's 5th birthday party cook out on Saturday. I was kinda scared at first. But it wasn't so bad. I met some new people, they petted me and walked me around on the leash. I hope I get to go out like that again soon. I had fun.

I had to wear Pogo's collar for the first few days till daddy got me a new one. Pogo doesn't go outside and I do, so I had to have a collar on. I have my own collar now, it's blue. Mommy takes me out on the leash. I didn't like that thing attached to my collar, but mommy won't let me go out without a leash.

I like Pogo, we play a lot. I don't like it when he takes a toy away from me, but we have fun running after each other. We don't sleep together much. Usually Pogo sleeps with Scooter (the kitten), and I sleep with the other kitten Junior. They are Sadie's kittens.

Well it's way past my bedtime, nightie night.....

Outside

Another nice day today, except the clouds have come in, hope it don't rain. I don't like water at all, no baths, no rain, no pools, water-no way!! Even if it's really hot outside, I don't like water, except to drink of course.

I love it outside, it's fun. I get to watch the cats make goofballs out of themselves, I see the neighbors dog Jack come over, he doesn't play with me tho, he's really old and can't walk to well. Mom said he was hit by a car. Mom keeps me tied up on this cable thing, it's really long so I have a lot of room to move around and even run a little. She has me come inside to take breaks, but I want right back outside, unless it's raining.

I still play with Pogo when mom has me come in. He likes to chew on my ears, sometimes it hurts, but I know he doesn't mean to hurt me. He's pretty fun to play with, we like to chase each other around the kitchen table, mom says we make her dizzy, bol.

Lots of people ride these little cars, to me they look like little cars with no roof, mom says they are called 4 wheelers. They look fun, but you won't catch me on one. I like to watch people drive them up and down my road here. Sometimes they wave at me.

Yesterday mom had a visitor, he was nice to me, he petted me. Pogo just barked at him. I keep telling Pogo to chill, but yeah right. Mom's visitor is daddy's cousin, he wanted to see daddy, but he was working.

My Grandpa, he's my mommy's dad, turns 60 in a few days. Mom said they are gonna go see him and have cake, I wanna go too!! Maybe if I give mom the sweet innocent look, she'll take me. I like riding in the truck, but don't like it if dad puts me in the pet carrier. Now the last time I got to sit between mom and dad, that was cool. Well I'm gonna go find the cats to chase, they are such scaredy cats! Bye.

My First Snowfall

A couple weeks ago, I got to see my very first snowfall, it was neat and fun! All these white little things were falling down from the sky, they were cold, but very fun to play in. The ground turned white and was cold and mushy, but I had a blast playing in it. I can't wait for it to snow again!

Is it Spring time yet?

I love the snow, I really do, it's fun to play in, to run back and forth, but I'm ready for the sun!! I've been having a blast the past 2 days, I got to run and play. Now today is yucky, rainy, so now my yard is gonna be all wet again, yuck!! I guess I'll have to stay inside today and play with the 2 little rug rats. Mom put up a lot of new pics of me, aren't I a cutie? I'm just a big snuggle pooch. Wanna come play with me....tag is my favorite game, but I love to always be 'it'. I can catch almost anything. I lost a dear friend tonight

Tonight one of my closest buds died..Jack. He lived at the neighbors house, but he walked and visited everyone on my road. He's been around for many years. Jack was close to Cletus before Cletus died. I was fortunate to know Jack. Jack was hit out on the road. It's a shock to everyone around here. Jack's been around for so long, it just won't be the same without him. He always visits me and my family every day. Mom would give him snacks and play with him. Jack was old, he wasn't getting around like he used too. He'll be missed by everyone, he'll get to reunite with Cletus. Jack-I love ya..Clark

I don't wanna go!!

Momma informed me that I'm going to the vet on Wednesday, noooo. I don't wanna goooo!! Well I mean sure the truck ride there will be a load of fun, but it's not gonna be fun once I get there. They'll see how big I am, then they might stick me with that sharp thingy (momma calls it a shot, ouch), I don't want any of that! But I know..momma says it's for my own good, but I don't see how!! I have been having some problems tho, I'm itching to death!! I can't stop scratching! And no it's not those little boogers (fleas). Momma thinks I have dry skin or something, cause I'm shedding and scratching really bad. I don't feel those little boogers on me and momma can't find any, so it can't be fleas. Soooo...that's the main reason why I'm going to the vet. I heard momma tell dad that where I was mostly an outdoors-y type pooch, and now I love being in the house, that maybe the difference in the air (whatever that stuff means) might be making me have dry skin. Who knows, to much stuff that I don't understand.

Oh yeah, I'm indoors now!! Well I hated being indoors before, even when it was really cold out and momma brought me inside, I cried and cried to go back out. Well we've had a lot of cold days and nights and I've been in the house A LOT, so now I just love being inside and momma says she's happy cause she wants me inside.

I did have one oopsy, I peed in the house, just once, come on...give a guy a break, accidents happen. Momma laughed really hard tho, cause I started to pee, and momma says Clark no, outside....So she kinda freaked me out when she yelled out no, and I started to walk away (while I'm still peeing), so I peed all over the living room. Momma didn't seem to mind cause she couldn't stop laughing that I walked and peed all over the place, bol. But I haven't peed in the house since that day.

And one update from momma, for those of you that knew a buddy of mine that used to live here..Pogo, well he's in a new home. Momma had some trouble with him, he had some behavior problems (whatever that means), and momma just didn't know how to help him, so she searched for a great home and found one, and Pogo is doing a lot better, he's not afraid of going outside like he used to be. His new momma is spending a lot of time working with him (which my momma says that is what he needed), momma just didn't have the time to really work with him like he needed. So Pogo's new momma has his dogster page now. I don't know if she's updated it or not, but he's still on dogster I think.

Well lets get spring here, come on...I'm sick of snow and cold weather. I had to pee so fast tonight cause the wind about blew right thru me...brrrrrrr. I'm gonna go cuddle up on the couch and sleep ALL night long, zzzzzzzzzzz....hey where's my blanky??!!

Vet Day

Wow what a day. First I had to get into the car, not to fun! I don't like riding in the car. Then we went to see the vet, he was pretty nice, I've met him before. He seen that my right ear is hurting me bad, so I had to get drops put in, now momma has to put drops in for awhile to help my ear. Turns out my shedding and dry skin has to do with dry heat, where I used to be outside, now I'm inside. So I'm on medicine for awhile to clear it up and then the vet said my hair should start coming back in. I got my yearly shots and my rabies, got a cool new tag for my collar now. I weigh 40 lbs! Wow! I'm a big guy huh? So that's how my vet visit went. I got to see a cute little Beagle pup, he was sooo cute, I wanted to play with him, but momma said no. I was happy to get back into the car cause I knew I was going home. Now I'm gonna go crash for the night in my favorite sleeping spot and snore the night away, bol....nightie night

It's my Birthday

Happy Birthday to me, bol. Yaa, it's my birthday!! I feel very special today and mommy surprised me with some new toys!! It shouldn't take me to long to wear them out, bol. I hope I get some yummy treats later too!

Clark gave us a scare

Usually Clark likes to do his own journal, ha, but I had to make one this time. Over a week ago, Clark was missing. He went over to see his girlfriend, slept in her house, then he left and then vanished. We looked everywhere. My son Kyle was crying so hard. Clark never has ran off before, ever! It wasn't like him to do this, then it rained all night, and Clark hates rain!! He doesn't like to get wet, unless he jumps over the creek, he doesn't mind the creek, but he hates the rain.
So I made flyers, posted them in a few places that are popular in this area. Still no word, no Clark. We drove all thru back roads, everywhere out here, no sign. Then we start hearing about a lot of big dogs have been missing in the area, that someone has been stealing dogs for fighting. That really scared me. I couldn't sleep, not at all, I just kept thinking about Clark. I mean when Cletus died, it hurt of course, but we knew what happened to him, with Clark being gone, we had no idea, what if he was hurt, or someone was hurting him. Kyle was just a mess. Well the next day after that, we started talking to some neighbors, found out that there has been a truck driving with tons of dogs in the back, big dogs, and then the truck would come back up my road with no dogs, sounds fishy to me!! So we start asking around the neighbors about it, especially ones that we knew owned big dogs. I made sure to tell everyone how crushed Kyle is, and that his 7th b-day is almost here and Kyle got Clark right before his 5th b-day. Kyle picked him out, Clark is Kyle's dog. So the day after we started spreading the word about Clark and how we're hearing about someone stealing big dogs, Clark came home.
Thank God!! We were in bed, early in the morning about 7-8 am. I swore I heard his bark, and it's weird cause that night I actually did finally get some sleep. I thought I was dreaming, I get up and look outside, no Clark, I sat down all bummed, then I heard the bark again, I said I know that is Clark, and what do ya know, there he is at the door wagging his tail, I open the door yelling Clark is back, and Clark just licked me and jumped on me, then tackled Kyle, but Kyle tackled him back cause he was so happy. Well Clark came back very skinny, he hadn't eaten, now if Clark ran off, I would think he would've found some sort of food, so that seemed fishy to me as well, then my husband looks at his nails, they were all cut perfectly even, we haven't had his nails cut, so someone did it. It's just funny how we talk about to people around here that he's missing and then how we are hearing about people stealing big dogs, then boom, next day here comes Clark. Well Clark's girlfriend, she's a cutie, Teewee, her mommy told us she saw Clark coming home, that he was running down the road to the house, really fast, like he was getting away from something. So now we are keeping a really close eye on Clark, and others around here with dogs are watching their dogs as well. It's scary to think that someone would just steal your dog. Clark hardly leaves the house, he still visits Teewee, but he's right back home, like he is afraid to leave the porch now. I did find him sleeping under the truck today, hiding under the shade, ha. I'm just so thankful he's home!! I love that boy, it was hard to get attached to another dog after Cletus, but I have, Clark is stubborn, bullheaded, ha, but he's like my 4th child, I love him, at least he doesn't talk back to me, ha ha. Welcome home Clark, I hope to God you never leave us again!

Been a long time!!

HEY DOGSTER, I'm BACK!!! Ya ya ya!! It's been ages huh? Well I'm here, still here, that's right!!! Mommy took a break on here, so I did too. So I'm back. Things have changed some. Tig, the cat, she's living at my MomMaw's house now. We have a different cat name Corey, I love picking on him. We also have another dog too. Her name is Baby, tiny little thing that mommy loves to dress up, I love it too, I like to grab her shirts and pull her, BOL . Funny tho, when she first came home, she hated me, she barked and barked at me, I don't like her yipping at me!!! Well now she plays with me, likes to jump on my back, I don't like that. But I do like her now. She's my little sissy. Mommy will do a new page on her I'm sure. Mommy wants to get the dogster plus back too, yaaa, hope so, I don't like these ads all over my page! I'm doing really good, still hanging around and I haven't ran away and no one has taken me like that last time. I'm also more indoors now instead of an outside dog, sure I go potty outside, but that's about it unless I'm playing with mommy or my human sis and bubs. I got my own bed, it's a HUGE pillow, but Baby tried to pee on it once, mommy got on to her about it, so now she leaves it alone....she better!! I may like Baby now, but that is MY bed. Baby is a lap dog, so I wanna be one too, I try to sit on mommy's lap, but she'll say 'ohhh Clark you're to big', no I'm not, I'm a baby too!!! I miss you guys, I love Dogster and mommy better put up some new pics of me!!! Got some cute ones of me.....hehehe. Well then again, I'm always cute!! Oh you know what, mommy got Baby where she got me at, the same shelter. They saved her like they saved me. Altho Baby was sick the first week she was here. She coughed a lot and slept all the time. She had to see the 'doc' and he said se had some thing called bronchitis, but she's all better now, I had to stay away from her too but that wasn't hard to do as she didn't like me at first anyway. So she's all good and likes to chase me, I chase her but mommy says 'Clark don't step on her'. HA. Well Dogster I missed you all, I'm back!!!!! Sending lots of love to all my buddies, hope you guys are good and I'm sorry I haven't been around....(sshhhhh, but blame my mommy!!!)
