Quick Bio:
-purebred

Birthday:
January 21st 1999

Likes:
Eating, sleeping, cuddling and scavanging for food even when she is full

Pet-Peeves:
Not being able to reach a certain item that she wants ( usually food ) or a chew stick

Favorite Toy:
Anything that is doggy chewable - chew sticks and bones especially

Favorite Food:
Anything but she does have a soft spot for pasta and cookies which she can't have being on a diet. Of course she also loves meat.

Favorite Walk:
When we go anywhere in the car- the walk to the car is the favorite because she gets so excited.

Best Tricks:
She knows how to fool my other dog so she can take away his bone or food. She will bark so he goes to see what all the exciment is about and she goes in for the steal. Works every time.

Arrival Story:
One day I saw a commercial for a certain dog food and they had a Beagle in this commercial. From then on I was just absolutely in love with the Beagle breed. I bought books and watched videos about it. I searched for Beagle breeders and then my Mom found one for me that was not too far away. The day my Mom called, she was told a litter was on the way. We went to see the breeder when the puppies were just born - a big pile of Beagle pups and a proud Beagle Momma to greet us. As the weeks progressed we went again to the breeder, this time to choose which Beagle we wanted. We wanted a female and I picked up an adorable puppy but alas, he was a male. Then my Mom pointed out to me Baylee who was just perfect, what I wanted to a T. After a couple weeks we went to pick her up for good and I was so attached to that puppy, even before I took her home. Baylee is my sunshine Beagle. A little hyper when she was a puppy but now she is mellow and a joy to have in our lives.

Bio:
She is just a beautiful little Beagle and I love her with all my heart and she loves her family.

Dear Diary, new digs

Dear Diary,
The humans and I ( oh, yes the other canines as well ) have moved to new digs. For two days I was super hyper and didn't sleep one bit. Too much to inspect, too much action I didn't want to miss out on. They said I was too hyper and I think that is just nonsense. They compare me to the other two, my brother and sister who are two old geezers. Is it my fault if I get some energy once in a while? First they say I sleep too much and when I don't, they complain I should sleep. Humans, they are never happy. I can't wrap my Beagle mind around them. I don't want to be misunderstood. I love my two humans, they are cool but why do they mind if I didn't sleep for two days straight. The new place is kinda neat because it has a room the humans call the office, I think it's human for our room, us dogs. It has a comfy bed in it and a nice fan. I like to go in there and get some shut eye. The office is what us dogs would call the nap room.
I have been looking at everything but for the most part I have to do it all by myself because my brother, my right paw is getting a little mellow in his old age. All he wants to do is sleep. He acts weird sometimes and my little momma says he has something called old age. I hope I don't catch it.
Well, back to a sniffin'. Bark at ya later.

Another Day ..... and on the second day

Okay, okay so the entry line is a bit much. I am not a very PC Beagle.
Today was an absolute bore. Where is the exciment? Why did Lassie get to save Timmy from the well and I.... and I don't even have a well. How is that fair? I think Lassie was a lame actress anyway and rumor has it Lassie was a Laddie. I read it in the Doggy Enquirer. It was quite a scandal in the canine world.
Anyway, today my two humans left quite early, around 10:30 and we all know I start the day after that. I like to stay in bed until around that time and then if I am so inclined I will venture outside to take care of my business. I hate it when they rush me to go out and go pee pee ( again with the annoying baby talk ) so they can leave me home. I think one of the humans had school today but the reason the other one went along escapes me. Those two are like Bobsey twins at times. I spent the whole morning in my bedroom ( the human Jess is convinced it's her bedroom and I could swear I have heard her call it such plenty of times - the NERVE ). When they finally got home, I had my meal: chicken and rice. Oh, yeah!!!! That was good but why are they so freakin' stingy with the portions. They keep mentioning the D word - DIET. Again they have the nerve to put me on a diet, I would say the other two Cayce and Oreo could use a diet as well. BUT No..... I get to be on a diet. Life is so unfair. I think people hate me because I'm beautiful. They are threatened by my good looks. I can't help it if my Mommy and Daddy made me so darn cute. I just realized what time it is and it's way past my 12th nap.
Gotta go my K-9 readers. Catch ya later.
Remember to have a Howling good time.

Happy beagling,

Baylee

Well, today is not as usual as the others. I am still on the antibiotics and on this really cool diet. None of that dry and pouch junk. I now get white rice and meat. Mind you the humans must have forgotten where the treats are because I haven't had any. I keep showing them but they ignore me. Have I become the invisible Beagle? Last night I was oh, so resourceful and managed to find a nice bone. Well, when Jess ( one of my humans ) saw me with it, she pounced on me like a puma. Never saw her move so fast, unless you count the time I grabbed her underwear from the laundry basket..... and ran all around the yard with them, shaking them as if I had a flag and was attending a parade. I had an udience, what was I to do. Every day is a spectacle when you are a Beagle.
Anywhoo I digress..... the human took my bone away. She reminded me that I was on a diet because I had a boo boo or something of the sort. What makes her think I appreciate baby talk? Where is intellectual conversation anymore? Ah, back in the days .....nevermind.
What else can I add? Nothing really and I am too weak to be writing more. Must be the lack of treats. If they could only see what this is doing to me. It's as if being beautiful lost all it's benefits. Heck, still works for those super models and I'm much cuter. Don't you think?
Gotta run ( well walk, I don't run unless there is food to be eaten or when I manage to escape the gate - only happenned twice. Then too the humans moved fast. It was so funny seeing them chase me. Then I felt pity on them and let myself be apprehended. I do have a heart, you know ).

Beagle Howls ,
Baylee
