Arrival Story: Georgia had been returned to the Dallas SPCA twice for behavioral problems and her days were numbered. My husband happened to go there on his lunch break one day and fell in love. He called me and asked if he could have her. At the time we already had two dogs: a Yorkshire Terrier and a tri-color Border Collie and I thought that was enough, but he brought Georgia home anyway. It was a little rough at first but after a short time Georgia and the Border Collie became the best of friends and played happily together. Georgia Kaye has been a wonderful dog for us and sadly she has lost 3 siblings in 2 years. She is now big sister to a Schnoodle 6 years younger and a Shih-Tzu 5-1/2 years younger. Georgia is a great dog. My dream has always been to get her involved in a program where she would visit sick children in hospitals and the elderly in nursing homes. She has such a wonderful, easy going personality that she would be perfect for this and she really enjoys being around people and other dogs.
Bio: The dream is coming true! We just finished obedience classes and passed our evaluation to become a pet therapy team for Happy Tails Pet Therapy program!
