Best Tricks:
Sings along to the Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac song 'Gold Dust Woman'. I have no idea why, he doesn't ever sing, just when he hears the first few beats of this song.

Arrival Story:
I adopted Favre in 1998 from Perfect Pet Rescue in Beverly Hills. He was about four to six months old, scrawny, with huge paws, and the most beautiful brown eyes. He looked me right in the eyes and we had an instant connection. He became my loyal buddy and was so happy when he jumped up into my car to ride home. We then went to "The Doggy Toy Store" as he knows it, and we filled two carts with nearly one of every toy they had.

Bio:
Favre's first few months of his life were not as they should have been. Before I was lucky enough to have met & rescued Favre, he was abused and nearly starved by some sicko who slammed doors on him and hit him when he was just a little helpless puppy! Well a lot of toys, constant love, attention, silly playtime, and only positive reinforcement training (never hitting him or even raising a hand to him. Instead I get his attention and say "No Buddy" in a calm reassuring voice, louder and questioning if needed, not punitive though, and then rewarding him with a treat. By myself have made his former abuse nearly undetectable. He is now open, loving, trusting, and has a happy disposition. He spends nearly all his time with me, including traveling statewide on work and vacations. He is a great traveller, adapting to long rides, hotels, and new places fast and with enthusiasm. I always try to find interesting places and things for him to see whenever we travel. He has his own luggage as well which is packed with beach towels, a blanket, some of his favorite toys, treats, food, lots of bottled water and a First Aid Kit for him. He is very social, never fights, and has a fondness for small fluffy dogs. He is now 9 years old, and acts like a puppy still. I attribute it to rarely leaving him alone, hiking every morning and/or afternoon, healthy food, low-fat treats, no human food, and of course making him feel comfortable and loved at all times.
