Arrival Story:
I lost my 10 1/2 year old baby girl, Lucky, in Jan, 2007. I wasn't looking for another dog. Honestly, I wasn't. I have always wanted a Great Dane. Ever since I was a kid. But my parents always said they were too big...even though we had 2 St. Bernards and 4 Akitas over the years. Go figure. Anyway, there was a web site I knew about called DaneWorld that showcased reputable Dane breeders. I've been looking at this site few a couple years and never really saw a puppy that jumped out at me. Then I saw Kayden. I instantly knew she was going to be mine. I immediately emailed the breeder thinking she was probably already sold. Kim, Kdogs's breeder called me that day and we talked for about 2 hours. At the end of the conversation she said "I'm going to go with my gut on this...you sound like the perfect home, if you want you you can have her!" Then the nerves set in! I said let me think about it and I'll get back to you the next day. Within 30 minutes she sent me all of Kayden's puppy pictures and videos. Needless to say the rest is history. Everyone knew she was going to be part of the family. Kayden is from Sisco's Danes in Oklahoma. Kim Felix is the name of her breeder and she is awesome! She flew from OK to CA on June 16, 2007. She was such a good girl too. She didn't even have an accident in her crate! As soon as I took her out of the crate she gave me lots of kisses. She knew instantly I was her new Mommy. I can't even tell you how special this girl is. Her full name is Kayden Loo. Loo is in honor of my Lucky Girl, who was affectionately known as Lucky Loo. Kayden has some big paws to fill and she's doing an awesome job!

Kayden has to be one of the best puppies I have ever known. She was housebroken in just a couple of days. She is so laid back. People are always amazed to hear her age when we're out and about because she's so calm. Nothing fazes this girl. Well, except trash trucks. They scare her to death. No idea why. Kayden is definitely one special girl. Everyone loves her. 2 legged or 4 legged - doesn't matter. She has such a wonderful personality. So sweet. That's a word people use to describe her alot...sweet. But don't get me wrong she can be CRAZY! She has LOTS of friends she plays with everyday. About 20 dogs a day. She plays with all sizes...from a French Bulldog named Omelette to a Leonberger named Arlo. Dogs who don't normally play well with others will play with her! She's also my rock star. Anywhere we go we are constantly being stopped. And she LOVES it! She loves to show off in front of people by giving me a hug. Which is real fun now since she's finally taller than me and I'm 5-7! UPDATE -- Kayden was diagnosed with Wobbler's Syndrome last June. She had the Gold Bead Implant Surgery and is now doing amazingly well. You wouldn't even be able to tell she has Wobbler's now. She is AWESOME!
