Arrival Story:
After we lost Kelsi, we called the breeder we bought Meggie from. We were looking to adopt another dachshund and we love Meggie so much. They got back to us saying that they weren't breeding anymore, but due to family circumstances, they needed to get rid of their two red longhairs. They had a male and female. As it was, the female is actually Meggie's bio mommy!! They said that they had someone that wanted to buy Lucie, but she was going to be kept outside and used for breeding. That isn't what they wanted for her. They could tell that we would give her the kind of home they were searching for her to have. Strange how everything (losing Kelsi, calling the breeder after a couple of years of non contact, them needing to get rid of Meggie's mommy) fell into place. So, without a second thought, we now have Lucie and Meggie. It really was meant to be...
