Arrival Story:
I got Sophie through Woof Dog Rescue, from a dog trainer who'd found her as a skinny, scared recent-but-pupless mom in Bushwick. She got torn up terribly in an attack by a big female pit before I got her, so she gets a little defensive around the ladies (dogs, that is), but I can't say I blame her. Okay, well, a lot defensive, and I try not blame her. We're working on it. As long as she keeps licking and wagging at the freshdirect man and any children who grab her face in the street, she is OK by me...
