Its been a while...

I need to update you all in my life!!!

Well, in December, Mommy & Daddy decided it was time for a fur-sister. Morgan May came all the way from Alabama to live with us two days before Christmas. I didn't like her at first, but now I HEART HER! She is a great little sister. I pouted for a few days but now we are best pals.

So now that I have a little sister, we play a lot. We go to the beach almost everyday when its warm enough and we looooove to chase in the yard.

We have started our 2nd year of Dock Dogs and have been to 4 events so far!! WOOT WOOT! Morgan was too chicken and wouldn't jump for our first two events...what a weenie! Our second event she won her Novice Division with a 10' jump! WTG SISSY!

I have improved my personal best score from last year with a jump of 19'10". YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! Mommy & Daddy were so proud of me! I really love this sport! I even made it to Semi-Pro finals and won a lot of pretty ribbons!

Morgan also got a new personal best of 15' at our last event. We are high fliyin' dogs!!! :P

Mom also started us on a complete raw diet. WE LOVE IT!!! Morgan was picky about eating when she came to us, what a weirdo. She would make a fuss about her food and mom would have to encourage her to eat. I have never had an eating problem, put food in front of me and I'll gobble it right up! But now that we're on raw, we both eat with out a problem and LOVE IT! Best choice you've made, Mom! :)

Life of a Dock Dog

Wow everypup, WHAT A SUMMER!

Its the beginning of October and I can't believe the pawsome summer I had! Mom got me involved in Dock Dogs last winter and I have really improved over the last few months and made some huge splashes at events all over Minnesota & Wisconsin!

Our first event was February in Minneapolis, MN. Buurrrrr, the water was freezing and it had been so long since I had swam I think I forgot how! I didn't want to jump in that freezing pool but they finally got me to. I think I ended that event with a final jump of 2'3"!!! With lots of practice & more swimming time with the warm summer months, I made a few more events. Ely MN was our second event and I made some huge improvement rounding off that event with 12'6"!! We also visited Hastings, MN and improved yet again with a jump of 16'5". Hoyt Lakes was our next event and we actually got to jump into a lake, I made a big splash at 17'3". To end the summer of Dock Dogs we visited Duluth MN where I received yet another personal best AND My Senior Title!!!! 18'3" is my best to date and I can't wait for next season!!!! Its a blast!

Dock Dog In Training!

Hi Everypup-

Just wanted to write and let everypup know that I have been training very hard for DOCK DOGS!! My first event is less than two weeks away!! I will be jumping in the Big Air competitions at the Minneapolis Pet Expo February 21st. If I do well I get to go back on the 22nd for Finals! If anyone will be in the Twin Cities area that weekend, feel free to stop in and watch, it will be a good time!

Mom has me training hard, we work on it everyday. For now, we're using snow to train in. Mom says all the lakes are frozen until at least April! Can't wait to get to Grammy's and hit the water....

I'll be posting pictures and hopefully a video of my jumps! Check back for those!

4. Before mom & dad got me, I lived on a farm.

5. I know I look cute in my bandanas......BUT......I really do hate them!

6. My frisbee is my favorite toy. I try to sneak it in the house when mom isn't looking!

7. Mom & Dad say I have a good smell. Not a dog smell. I try my very best to wreck that if at all possible. Thats what smelly things are for, to roll in right?!

A tribute to Jazz

I wanted to write a tribute to my dear fur-cousin, Jasmine. AKA Jazz, Jazzy, Jazzbo.

Jazz was a good friend. She was always so happy, even through all of her health problems she had a positive outlook on everything. I only got to know Jazz for about a year and a half, but boy did we have some fun times. Swimming, chasing through the yard, tennis balls.

You will be missed, Jazz. We all hope you are running free and have met Lady at the Rainbow Bridge. We will meet again someday dear friend. We love you!

My 2nd Woofday!

Hey Pups,

I just wanted to write and share with you about my wonderful Woofday I just had. It was so great! Mom and dad woke up for work and both gave me a huge hug and sang happy woofday to me...that was pretty funny. Then we went to work and I got to open my Birthday Bag up from Mom & Dad, inside it was:

1. Bully Sticks GALORE!
2. Sojos Lamb & Sweet Potato Treats, one of my favs
3. A new NEOPRENE LOOFA LIFEGUARD DOG!
4. A new fatcat toy, one that you can put a water bottle inside to make lots of noise!
5. Fancy treats, two bones & an ice cream cone biscuit that had frosting on them...yummo!!
6. Canned food.....Wellness, oh so good!

Grandma gave us permission to leave early that day, but before we left she gave me my birthday gifts. A new ball that has a bell inside, makes lots of noise, I love it! And a peanut butter sucker for dogs!Then we got to go home, I took a nice long nap because it was raining outside. That felt pawesome! I ate some dinner, and mom gave me a FROSTY PAWS treat!! OHHHHH BOY THAT WAS TASTY! Mom thought I would take my time and lick it a bunch, but nope, I just chewed it up and swallowed....Mom thinks it gave me a brain freeze because I had this really sad look on my face after that! hehehehe

THEN, I got to go swimming at the beach, my favorite!!

It was a pawesome woofday, I want to thank mom & dad for all the great gifts, and a fun day!

My Mom is a Worry-wart & my bump is G-O-N-E!!!

YAY!!! Mom noticed yesterday (the day AFTER she brought me to the vet) that my bump was less hard and seemed a little smaller. Well today it is NOTICABLY smaller!! She just had to freak out and take me to the vet though. She is so relieved that it is going away though!! Just wanted to update everyone and let them know it was probably just a pesky bug bite.

My new goal in life is to bite back every fly that bites me!!! WOOF!

Our Vet Visit

Hey Pups,

Well yesterday mom had to take me to the vet. I have a bump on my tummy and it has mom concerned. It started out as a little pimple, it looked like. Now it is bigger and has formed a little bump under my skin. Its about 1 cm. x 1cm. and really hard! The vet said it is one of four things: a nasty bug bite, an ingrown hair, mass cell tumor, or another big word that means another tumor. He said we just have to keep an eye on it for the next week or so and see if it starts to get smaller. If it gets any bigger he is going to put me under and remove it. YIKES! Mom hopes we dont have to go through that. But if we do, we'll do it and hope that everything is ok.

Other than that I've been having a PAWESOME summer! I got a new pool to swim in.........just a little blue kiddy pool but its GREAT! I have also been going swimming just about everynight. Mom & dad take me to the lake to swim....its so nice! Its been too hot to walk so they take me swimming and I fetch my retrieving dummy for them!! I love fetch.

My 2nd WOOFDAY is coming up here on August 6th. Mom says she has something fun in-store for me!! I can't wait! I bet I'll get spoiled with lots of fun stuff. On my list is:

1. Canned food......YUMMO
2. Bully Sticks
3. New Bandanas
4. New Toys, ones I can rip apart!!
