Nicknames: Jag, Alla Balla, Jik Mag, Ooka Nooba, Pippin, Sludge....honestly there are probably 50 different names...don't ask where we came up with them! :) Doggie Dynamics:
Well, in December, Mommy & Daddy decided it was time for a fur-sister. Morgan May came all the way from Alabama to live with us two days before Christmas. I didn't like her at first, but now I HEART HER! She is a great little sister. I pouted for a few days but now we are best pals.
So now that I have a little sister, we play a lot. We go to the beach almost everyday when its warm enough and we looooove to chase in the yard.
We have started our 2nd year of Dock Dogs and have been to 4 events so far!! WOOT WOOT! Morgan was too chicken and wouldn't jump for our first two events...what a weenie! Our second event she won her Novice Division with a 10' jump! WTG SISSY!
I have improved my personal best score from last year with a jump of 19'10". YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! Mommy & Daddy were so proud of me! I really love this sport! I even made it to Semi-Pro finals and won a lot of pretty ribbons!
Morgan also got a new personal best of 15' at our last event. We are high fliyin' dogs!!! :P
Mom also started us on a complete raw diet. WE LOVE IT!!! Morgan was picky about eating when she came to us, what a weirdo. She would make a fuss about her food and mom would have to encourage her to eat. I have never had an eating problem, put food in front of me and I'll gobble it right up! But now that we're on raw, we both eat with out a problem and LOVE IT! Best choice you've made, Mom! :)
I'm loving life and wanted to give you all an update. WOOF, sending licks and hugs your way.
Its the beginning of October and I can't believe the pawsome summer I had! Mom got me involved in Dock Dogs last winter and I have really improved over the last few months and made some huge splashes at events all over Minnesota & Wisconsin!
Our first event was February in Minneapolis, MN. Buurrrrr, the water was freezing and it had been so long since I had swam I think I forgot how! I didn't want to jump in that freezing pool but they finally got me to. I think I ended that event with a final jump of 2'3"!!! With lots of practice & more swimming time with the warm summer months, I made a few more events. Ely MN was our second event and I made some huge improvement rounding off that event with 12'6"!! We also visited Hastings, MN and improved yet again with a jump of 16'5". Hoyt Lakes was our next event and we actually got to jump into a lake, I made a big splash at 17'3". To end the summer of Dock Dogs we visited Duluth MN where I received yet another personal best AND My Senior Title!!!! 18'3" is my best to date and I can't wait for next season!!!! Its a blast!
If anypup is reading this and interested in getting involved send me a PM and I will gladly get you the information. We are members of Dock Dogs Norhtern Stars (the MN club) but there are clubs in almost every state!!
Thanks for reading everypup and I can't wait to share with you my next event. Take care, woof at you later!
This will be fun! I love games, so here is how it works.... I tell you 7 things about myself and then tag 7 of my pals to do the same. Ready?
1. I’m a Dock Dog in training.
2. I go to work with Mom & Dad every day.
3. Swimming should be allowed every day of the year.
4. Just like Madison (who tagged me), I hate baths too! I say us Dogsters boycott baths!
5. Cheese is my favorite treat.
6. I sleep on a King Sized Pillow top.
7. I hate when the squirrels come into my yard……they must be chased back into the forest!
Now for the 7 pals I tag
