Likes:
Going for long walks and playing with water--running through sprinklers, drinking from the garden hose. A real water-bug, she swam in Lake Michigan this past summer! She also likes catching and shredding the autumn leaves--GREAT FUN!
Pet-Peeves:
None really...well, perhaps wearing her cowgirl Halloween costume...especially the HAT!
Favorite Toy:
Nellie the Elephant and Skunkie (a stuffed toy skunk that plays "Oh, You Beautiful Doll!"). She likes toys she can smash about, shake and throw! She also tosses balls down the stairs and races to catch them before they reach bottom. She likes ACTION!
Favorite Food:
Salmon, turkey, organic apples, peanut butter bellyrubs, brussels sprouts (!), plain yogurt, and BLUEBERRIES (she throws them and plays with them before she gobbles them down)!! She also loves Party Animal Organic Dog Food, Innova and Canine Organix.
Favorite Walk:
The blocks where her boyfriends live! And Beach Baby Jo loves Ocean Beach with the sand in her toes and wind in her hair! She also loves grassy places where she can run and run safely off-lead. Wild Woman Jo races like the wind!
Best Tricks:
Roll over and do the wiggly-worm. She also does a jitterbug dance for a treat. She also walks on her hind legs...she is a VERY NUTTY GIRL!
Arrival Story:
Jo-Zi came to us from her breeder, Pat Brooke, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was the middle pup born on 16 November 2003. She has an older sister, Sha-La (pronounced "Shay-La"), and a younger brother, Bogie. She was intended to be the little sister of our 17 plus year old Kyi-Leo boy, Tam (Kei-Mar's Ta-Mi-Po, Kyi-Leo Reg. No. 188). He passed away before she arrived in San Francisco.
Bio:
She is a purebred Kyi-Leo dog (Kyi-Leo Reg. No. 611) and will be shown in conformation and possibly obedience. She is a real pistol and personality plus. Plus she has a sparkling smile that she uses to great advantage! Like all of our Kyi-Leos (she will be our third), she is absolutely wonderful.
Big News! On 29 May 2005, Jo-Zi won Best of Show at the Kyi-Leo Club Specialty Show in Concord, California! She had lots of fun, too! BIGGER NEWS!! (As a six and a half month old pup, Jo-Zi went Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2004 Kyi-Leo Club Specialty Show, her very first show.) Jo-Zi is now an ARBA (American Rare Breed Association) Champion with her wins at the ARBA Claremont Classic Show on 10-11 September 2005!!! MORE NEWS!! Jo-Zi won Best Opposite Sex at the 2006 Kyi-Leo Specialty Show on 28 May 2006 and is one point away from becoming a dual Kyi-Leo/ARBA Champion!! She also met a very cute Kyi-Leo boy, Nan-Za-Ki K'Mu-Di, who went Best of Show at six and a half months of age...when he grows up, he may be a "stud muffin" for Miss JozaLindaKooKooButt! Jo-Zi's sister, Sha-La, went Reserve Winner's Bitch...at her very first show!!
NEWS FLASH!!! JO-ZI DOES IT!!! On 17 June, 2006, at the ARBA Golden Gate Classic Show in Hayward, California, Jo-Zi goes Best of Group, beating a Lowchen and a Coton de Tulear, to become a dual Kyi-Leo/ARBA Champion at two years and 7 months of age!!! Now, she's working on her ARBA Master Championship--AND, on 11 November 2006, at the ARBA Hollywood Classic in Claremont, California, Miss Jo-Zi became an ARBA MASTER CHAMPION!!! That's the latest news about darlin', sweetie-pie Jo!
Jo-Zi wants everyone to know that as of early April 2007, her big sister Sha-La just became an ARBA Champion! "Way to go, Sis! YAH!!" says Jo! AND, on 15 March 2008, Jo-Zi's Big Sis Sha-La became an ARBA Master Champion, too! Jo-Zi says, "I'm prouds of you, Big Sis Sha-La! We are the Pa-Da-Brook Champions!"
Jo-Zi just received exciting news that her big sis, Sha-La, is expecting FOUR puppies toward the end of June. Big Daddy is that cutie-pie, K'Mu-Di! Auntie Jo thinks she'll start knitting puppy booties!
Sha-La's puppies arrived! "YAH!!!!" says Jo. On 26 June 2008, Sha-La of Pa-Da-Brook gave birth to four beautiful puppies, two girls and two boys, all healthy and happy! Sha-La is a wonderful, tender mama. The girls are black and white parti-colored like their mum, and the boys are dark caramel/apricot-gold parti-colored like their dad. Congratulations to Sha-La and K'Mu-Di and their beautiful babies! Jo-Zi visited her Mama Pan-Da, Sister Sha-La and those darling puppies (Po-Nya, Cin-Tsha DanNee, Kar-Lha, and Kun-Zi) in August. They all had a wonderful time; she remembered her very first home, too!
Jo-Zi has some important news to share...Sha-La and K'Mu-Di announce their new babies!!!!!!! On 10 August 2009, Jo-Zi's big sis Sha-La whelped seven beautiful puppies...six girls and one boy...a very large Kyi-Leo litter! Three girls and the boy are black and white parti-colored like mama and the other three girls are gold and white parti-colored like their daddy. Jo-Zi gets to visit them all in Manitowoc in September!!!
