 Quick Bio:
Likes: Sleeping, car rides, rawhides, bossing Steele the puppy, being queen, swimming in nasty pond water

Pet-Peeves: Doesn't care to be thrown in a pool, toenail clipping, ear cleaning or long bouts of exercise

Favorite Toy: She hoards rawhides after stealing them from the puppy

Favorite Food: Whatever your eating, even if she has to steal it.

Favorite Walk: She doesn't much like to walk (b/c we walk far when we go), but if we're going somewhere with A/C, she's game!

Best Tricks: "Tell me" or speak, also good at imitating a log

Arrival Story: When our family dogs were stolen out of our backyard, I was a heart-broken 6th grader. About 3 weeks after they came up missing, my dad (who works as a field tech for the local power company) found the "cutest puppies you'll ever see" in a pet store down the street from my school. My mom, brother and I went to see them and ironically picked out the puppy my dad liked best, a little female who had a white tail tip. We named her "Silver" for the heeler markings on her feet, belly and chest.

Bio: Silver, by far, is the best dog my family has ever had. She is a good watch dog, but still very friendly (as long as you aren't the yard guys across the street). She suffered a loss last November when her companion of 5 years died while they were both at an animal hospital (where I worked) to be treated for heartworms. I felt so bad for her, being far away from her home (I worked out of town and she had to stay at the clinic) and losing her best buddy that she raised from a 10 week old pup. But her heeler tenacity and Rottie will power brought her through healthy on her return home. That same weekend, I bought my purebred Rottie pup, whom she hated. Now she can't be without him! I think he reminds her of her Zhane, because both were/are very goofy. We love our "Sliver-Mutt" very much and couldn't imagine a world without her!
