Arrival Story:
Steele was purchased partly as a Christmas present, partly as a way to fill a void that one of my other dogs left behind when he died. A retired shower of 20 or so years had a few of her show dogs left and two of them produced an accidental litter of 9 beautiful pups. Steele was the pick she said and was the first pup to go. My boyfriend and I had a hard time choosing between him and one of his sisters, but in the end, we decided that there was just something about rambunctious, but mannerly, male pup. We are very happy now with our decision. I love my funny little (okay, not so little) black and tan with all my heart. He's just like a kid, 'cept he doesn't talk back!

Bio:
Steele is a well socialized, fairly well mannered 9 month old puppy. He is going to be obedience trained soon, which I think that he will pass with flying colors (those colors being black and tan, of course!). Then we will try for the CGC to test his manners to their fullest extent. After that, we are going to try a few confirmation shows. He has a beautiful head that the picture I have is too fuzzy to show. In addition to his pretty Rottie face, he has a personality and temperment that any breeder would want from a dog. Friendly and loving would be his middle names if they didn't sound silly! The thing that promted me the most to want to show him is his ancestry. I did an extended pedigree research and found out that he has some AWESOME dogs in his history. Dogs like the Westminster Ch. Iron Chancellor (his great-grandsire), Ch. Sherwood's Aztec Emperor (his grandsire on one side and great-grandsire twice on the other side), a lot of Schutzhund high-pointed dogs, and many just plain wonderful imported and domestic bred dogs are included in his ancestry. I can't wait to introduce him to the world! Added 08/05/04- Here are some of the other dogs who show up on his pedigree chart from the AKC: Ch. Dar-Zay's Timo von Rook, Ch. Von Traeger Instant Karma (x2), and Ch. Sherwood's Aztec Emperor. I know that I mentioned him once already. The Emperor was a great dog that was one of Steele's breeder's star home-bred champs. He was a beautiful dog with great temperment.
