Leave a bone for RIP Atlas

Little man and Buddy.

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

August 16th 2006

Atlas loves when you say "I know buddy!" and he comes running to be held.

Atlas hates being in time out, however it happens more often than we'd like.

Favorite Toy:
Atlas loves bones, but he especially loves toys he can destroy, which he no longer has, such as kongs, rubber balls and even ropes.

Favorite Food:
Solid Gold, Bark at the Moon

Favorite Walk:
Atlas loves Petco, where he can be petted by everyone. Also, he loves off leash dog parks.

Best Tricks:
High five and double-high five and bring her back are all well-versed by this canine.

Arrival Story:
We purchased Atlas at 8 weeks old, he was a tiny puppy and appeared to be a purebred APBT. We even met his parents. He had no papers, however we really wanted a red nose in our family. So, we took him home. As he grew we noticed the lenght increasing in his fur along his back and tail, as well as a few waves. His ears began to flop over, and we are now pretty sure he's at least part lab. We are currently researching veterinarians to get him neutered.

Forums Motto:
The lab in me makes me craaaazy.

An important new website!

February 26th 2008 11:51 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] is a new site my mommy and some friends started recently. They are making a non-profit organization called Owners, Breeders and Dogs (that's me) Against Breed Discrimination.

This site is to generate donations and information for the cause of fighting BSL. All donations will be used to publish ads in newspapers, magazines and more to inform the public of this growing problem.

Also, they are working with several breed clubs already to spread the word. There is info and pics and movies already and more to come!

check it out!

I'm a pulling machine!!!

I went with daddy and cadillac to the weight pull this weekend. It was my very first one! I was in the 40-60lb class and I pulled 1600lbs both days. The second day I jumped over the fence on 1600lbs, cuz I'm crazy!!

I got 2nd place day one and 3rd place day two. I met a lot of fun people and found out that when I'm neutered I can get a special registration with the UKC and ADBA to compete in weight pull. Now, that's a good reason to get fixed!!!

Everyone at the pull was amazed at how much wirey little me could pull. I was so excited to show them I barked and whined the whole time and pulled daddy to the cart.

I love to pull!

Daddy has been teaching me to pull. I love it so much every day I try to pull mommy to the equipment when we go potty outside. Daddy says maybe in October I might get to compete in Cashmere, Wa. I dont know where that is but I really like this game.

I get to look so cool in my harness. Once daddy straps it on my I'm ready to go. He has to practically drag me inside when we're finished. I can pull 200 lbs of rolling weight so far. I love to jog around the block with my 15lb weight on. I feel so strong and cool. Everyone watches as I walk by.

One thing though, is a lot of people dont know what weight pull is. Mommy told me that some people across the street called the animal control on us. they told them i was being punished to drag the weights. this really worried me because i dont want to stop training. i love doing this sport. the dumb people got a talking to from the animal man though. mommy said that he knew i wasnt being punished and he went to tell them not to be so stupid. some people think since my brother and sisters are pitbulls that mommy and daddy are bad people. but, they love us so much and they just try to find fun things for us to do. i'm glad i dont have to stop pulling.

Weight pull is the best sport ever!!!!
