Arrival Story:
We read an ad in the paper and boy! did we get taken for a ride.....we paid $200.....and they gave us this story about him being a purebred field dog. Well, he is a breeding nightmare....had a multitude of health problems not the least of which within 24 hours of getting him home he was sick with Parvo!!!. The "breeders" were a joke and nothing short of puppy mill operators. Needless to say we never got our "papers" in the mail. They should have been tarred and feathered for what they had done to this poor dog and probably the rest of them. Beware of breeders who want to meet you in a motel parking lot instead of at their house!!

Gunner was a funny little guy who would have fought to the death for any of us...he was very loyal. Unfortunately, though he had a wonderful life with us, he had numerous health issues. The last being cancer. On Saturday Feb. 5th we made the decision to have him put to sleep because he was having so many problems. The cancer had come on strong and vicious and it wasn't fair to let him suffer. It was a tough decision but one that we knew was for the best for him. He will be missed (breakfast is sure quieter now without him singing for his meal!!!) is the heartbreak of owning animals to have to eventually say goodbye. We know his voice is singing loud and clear as he runs the hills of heaven. We miss you little man!!
