Arrival Story:
Elsie (at the time known as Sterling) was at the San Francisco Animal Care and Control (the pound). BADRAP (a pill bull rescue) told us to check her out. They had heard she was a great dog but they didn't have foster home available to save her. When we met her, she had ONE MORE DAY before they were going to put her down. Elsie was in the pit bull area. All the other dogs were barking but not Elsie. At our first meeting, she her spirits were so down that she wouldn't walk out of her pin and had to be carried. In the 'get to know you' area, she kept her belly to the ground and licked our hands. Her sweet disposition and her beauty were something we couldn't let go.
