Busy week for Daisy

On Friday Daisy went to the groomers for the first time. She looks so adorable.

The neighbor's dog, a Golden Retriever, came over the other day to play with Daisy. First time ever! Daisy was so excited, I couldn't get her to come in and all day long she was scratching at the door to come out. Usually when Daisy sees the Golden Retriever, it just at Daisy like "stupid puppy" and she walks away. Daisy was thrilled but I was afraid she would get pounced on. She is like 20 times smaller.

Daisy got to play in the snow today. It was very snowy here in Ohio today and boy, she loves going out there and sticking her little black nose in the snow.

I can't wait for Christmas. I got her a stocking and all kind of goodies for her. Can't wait!

Daisy loves the snow!!

We had few inches of snow the other day and at first Daisy was like, "Whaat!! I'm not going out in that!! What the heck is it?" After about 3 minutes of staring at it (and probably bladder pains) she finally attempted it and has loved the snow ever since!! She is hoping all around like a bunny and gets these snow clumps all over her fur!! And she likes to bury her nose in the snow and comes inside looking like white furry nose!! So funny. I had to warm a towel in the dryer and wrap her in once when she wouldn't come in for a long time. I was so afraid she was going to get sick, I had to force her in. Fun times ahead!

Almost Turkey Day!

Daisy has been feeling much better lately. I fed her some boiled chicken/rice for a day and she gobbled it up and has been better since. We took a short this morning down the street. She just loves going for walks .... so much to sniff and so many leaves to chase!!

Daisy appears to be having stomach problems again. She was up almost every hour with diarreah last night and she threw up once again! I am so frustrated. I am having trouble believing something is clogging her intestine when for 2 weeks now she's been eating and pooping regularly. Very upset today and going to try and make her some chicken and rice mixture to get her to eat. :-(

One week of wellness!!!!

It's great having Daisy back, feeling great. It's been a week! She is so much fun the way she run/hops through the house and greeting everyone, even if they've only been gone for 5 minutes!

She is doing really well and we've made so many new friends through Dogster! We want to thank everyone who emailed us asking about how she's doing. THANK YOU (woof woof woof you!)

Feeling Good, Feeling Good!!!

Update on my Daisy Mazey! She is doing FABULOUS! Tons of bowel movements; eating a lot; playing all day! I hope it lasts. I pray it lasts. I love her so much. She is like my little, tiny, furry baby.

Only problem is the vet gave us 2 cans of Purina EN dogfood - boiled rice and chicken: easy on the stomach -- very bland. SHE LOVED IT! She won't eat her Beneful dry kibble anymore so now I had to go out and buy some canned dog food and she ate a whole can in a day. 3 cans = 3 days!

Woo Hoo .... Bowel Movement!

Daisy woke up this morning so bright, happy and alert. After running through the house to greet everyone she ate and soon after went outside and had a bowel movement and one again this afternoon! I couldn't see that she passed anything but hopefully she did.

Today is trick or treat so Daisy will get to see all the little kids coming to the door. This will be an exciting day for her.

Thanks to all pups for their well wishes. I will feel better after a week goes by without another vomiting episode.

My sick puppy

My poor Daisy! She first started getting sick on the 17th of October by having a lot of diarrhea and vomiting. I took her to the vet and they kept her overnight cuz she was dehydrated. They gave her fluids and antibiotic. The next morning she was much better and they sent her home with antibiotic. She was fine for a week and then on the 24th she started vomiting and didn't stop all day. Her poor little body went through so much. She wouldn't eat or drink and at the end of the day she threw up everytime she moved. She looked terrible. I took her to the vet next morning and they did blood work and x-rays. They said she could not keep up the vomiting as she vomited for 2 days and would soon be throwing up lining in her stomach and intestines. X-rays showed some sort of fiberus blockage in her intestine. She got laxatives and fluids and muscle relaxers. and I was told by Friday morning would have to have surgery or make some decision cuz we couldn't let her go on like this. Thankfully by morning she was feeling much better! No bowel movement yet, but the vet was pleasantly surprised. I think all the prayers from us and family and Dogster friends were heard! Thank you. We were able to bring her home Friday afternoon and so far (keeping fingers crossed) she's been eating, eating and eating some more and has been playful. We are waiting for a bowel movement so hopefully she will pass this "blockage"!! Thanks again for the all POSITIVE emails and thoughts and all the PRAYERS to all the wonderful Dogster friends.
