Arrival Story:
I babysat my daughter's mixed breed so often I felt like he was my own puppy. Every time I walked him, people would call him a Havanese. I had no clue what a Havanese was like so checked them out on the web. The more I read, the more I liked. Last December mu daughter became engaged to another dog lover, moved and took "my" dog away (since it was really hers anyhow). So, she persuaded me to get a dog for myself. I did more research before deciding to get a puppy. When I saw Neiko face, I totally fell in love with him. He was my Christmas present to me!
Bio:
Neiko is a sturdy lil' Havanese. The breeder tried to convince me to purchase a little, golden puppy who was bouncy around playing. Neiko was sound asleep all the time I was at the breeder's home. I left and came back 1 1/2 hrs later. Neiko finally woke up, stretched, peeped on the floor and toddled over toward me. I picked him up and looked in his little dark almond eyes and said "this is the one I want." The breeder again told me she thought Neiko was going to be a real handful, but I never hesitated. I had to come back to pick him up after he got the vet's approval. He was fine until the car started - then he screamed at the top of his lungs all the way to my house. But he immediately came into my living room, climbed into a puppy bed and fell asleep. He never even cried at night but he certainly did wet a lot.

Actually I really can't tell the difference between the guys and the girls yet, I'm still a pup - all the doggies I meet are so cool and beautiful! Live is good and fun. My mom says the weekend is coming - whatever that is. Maybe I can go to the dog park.
