Arrival Story: We were on our way to see a dog that someone could not keep any more but they ended up cancelling on us so we went to play with the puppies at the pet store, which was normal for us. When we saw the border collie puppy I had to take him out. We took him out and played and snuggled for a while. We started to talk about how he might be a good dog for us but we had another appointment to see another dog from a rescue organization the next day. We talked for a while deciding if we should wait or not. Then, the lady told us that he has been there for almost two months. I felt really bad for him when they told us that. After much discussion we decided we would take him. Both Jon and I are really happy that we decided to take him. It was really tough in the beginning because we could not potty train him like most dogs because he was used to going the bathroom in his cage no matter how little room he had. Fortunately, he could go to work with Jon and I and since then he has been pretty good about going outside. It seemed like his main problem was he has anxiety problems, but he is getting better about that too.

Bio: Cole is our baby and we are so glad to have found him or that he picked us. Recently, a new family moved in next door. He is so good with the two three year olds and seven year old it is amazing especially since he is still a puppy. He just wants to give them kisses and get belly rubs. I am especially happy because he does not jump on them like he does with most people. We are so proud of him.

I am sad to say that Casper is no longer with us. I loved to chase him and roll him around. He was such a nice chew toy. When mommy found him on the road I was with her looking for him. She got worried because after calling for him many times, he did not come home. We were going for a walk when mommy found him. Mommy ran over to him and I tried to, but she yelled at me to stay in the yard so that I did not get hit by a car. Later on, I said goodbye and mommy put him in a box to take him to the vet. I don't know what she was planning on doing after that. Mommy was so sad after that. daddy and I thought about getting another cat just like Casper, but daddy and I thought that mommy should be the one to pick a new cat out. Later, when we told her our idea, she said that we should wait until after Orion dies because her and Casper did not get along. They always fought and mommy said that she was always worried about Orion pulling her fur out and that one day she might start going the bathroom outside the litter box. I wish we could get another cat because Orion doesn't like to play with me and Casper did. I miss him a lot too. I would clean him when he was a tiny baby, not even old enough to leave his birth mom. I loved playing with his biological brothers and sister. Well, maybe Orion will find a new home so that we can get a new brother for me to play with. Unfortunatly, I don't think mommy will get rid of her, so I am stuck with her.

It has been a year since my injury and the doctors say everything is fine. I on the other hand do not agree. Since my injury I growl at unfamiliar dogs because I don't know if they will sense my injury. My mommy says that everything is fine, with me but I am still worried. I heard mommy and daddy talking about taking me to a dog trainer to help me feel confident again. We will see.

I have some sad news. I was hit by a car three weeks ago. Thankfully I was not hurt badly. The only big problem I had was that I had to have surgery on my back leg. I am already using it a lot. My mommy and daddy don't want me to run and jump, but it is in my blood to be a hyper border collie. They keep telling me to calm down because I can be hurt again. I can't wait to go to the dog park again. My mommy and daddy say that I am doing very good though. My mom tells me that she will be putting pictures that she took up soon.
