Thank you Dogster for selecting me with my other buddies for diary of the day. I am sooooo honored, I can't begin to tell you. My mom came in and told me this morning before breakfast and I was almost as excited as she was. She told all her friends.

Big woofs and licks to all - - Tico

Locked Outside with Mom, brother and sis . . . .

We had a fun weekend. Didn't get to go swimming although I teased mom into thinking I wanted to - I'd walk by the pool and look real cute. I'd watch Betty dive in the pool on command and then walk up to mom like I wanted to follow . . .. silly mom - she was actually thinking I wanted to . . . . She even got out of the pool to check, but then I'd run for my tennis ball. . . boy was she dumb.

We got locked out of the house today. Let me tell you - that was fun. My big sister said she was going out for awhile = that was about 6:00 p.m.ish She stepped outside the sliding glass door and then I think she locked it as she left. Mom thought she'd go in soon after . . . not. I thought I'd let mom know . . . this is not fun. I sat by the door panting. Everytime she left the yard to get help, I would bark and bark and bark - I thought that would help. When she got back home . . . from next door . . . she filled the water dish, but I didn't want outside water - - I wanted inside water. It wasn't even hot . . . but I acted like it was. Betty just wanted mom to keep throwing her ball in the pool. I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do . . . sit by the door and wait for the someone to come home or pant and see what mom would do. Then when she'd come towards me all worried . . . I'd run for my ball. I'm not stupid . . . guilt equals fun for me. Mom will play with me as much as I want so I don't feel bad . . .

Mom went next door and made some phone calls. Pretty soon - - 2-1/2 hours later . . . my big sister came home. We all went inside and drank and drank and drank water. There's nothing like inside water. Mom was pretty relieved - she now knows there is no way anyone is getting inside the house, especially her.
