Arrival Story:
We were a foster family for Mufasa when he first came to SFSR in March 2003. Origianally we had decided not to keep Mufasa as he had late stage hip dysplasia and could barely go up the stairs. We spend a lot of time upstairs and didn't think it was fair to Mufasa that he was downstairs a majority of the time. We put Mufasa on a strict Glucosamine/Aspirin/Exercise regimen and he was just like new in no time. We had to keep him after someone else showed interest in adopting him and we couldn't bare to be without him.
Bio:
Mufasa has had several surgeries , 2 Foreign Object Removal surgeries and a Splenectomy. Mufasa was diagnosed with Splenic Hemangiosarcoma on July 12th, 2004. His short battle with this aggressive cancer ended July 19, 2004. His absence is felt daily, but his love is neverending . We will miss him and cherish him being a part of our lives forever.
