 Birthday: April 1st 1998
Likes: Eating, garbage, sleeping, sniffing things

Pet-Peeves: Vacuums, having his feet touched, riding in the car

Favorite Toy: A white snow leopard stuffed animal

Favorite Food: Peanut butter

Favorite Walk: Rosedale Park, the 6-mile route

Best Tricks: the "Food Dance"

Arrival Story: My father was raised around Beagles and when we decided to get a puppy we knew it had to be a Beagle. We picked Rocky out of a litter a local breeder had and took him in August of 1998.

Bio: Though we were told he is a purebred Beagle, his gigantic feet and long body speak more of a Basset Hound. We affectionately call him a "Bagel" and it's generally understood that his momma's attentions wandered from his intended father to another dog.
Rocky has his own website!! Fat Hound Dog.com

Earlier in the summer, I was diagnosed with Lyme's Disease. I've been moving very stiffly lately and my people were getting scared, so off to the vet I went. I got a shot of antibiotics and I started feeling better right away! Glad it's not arthritis, I'm way too young for that.
I also found out I have a tumor. Luckily, it's fatty and benign, so it shouldn't cause me any problems. My Human Girl was pretty upset about it, but there's not a lot she can do (she's out at college).
Otherwise, the vet said I'm looking great. I'm keeping the weight I've already lost off and I lost another pound! About 5 more pounds and I'll be at my ideal weight. I'm already looking pretty svelte, if I do say so myself.
My Human Girl comes home for five days next week and I am looking forward to it. She always pampers me when she's home - lots of snuggling and long walks, it's like being in doggy heaven!
I wish we weren't separated so much. But she tells me it's just one more year until she's done and we move out! The rumor is that weren't going to California. I wonder what it's like, wherever that is...
