Since mama is going to go see Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy on Oct 1, she thought ya'll might like this joke. (Zoe's got us lookin' for jokes now.) BOL
REDNECK HOME SECURITY SYSTEM:
1. Buy a pair of size 14-16 work boots.
2. Put them on front porch with a copy of Guns & Ammo.
3. Put some giant dog dishes next to boots & magazines.
4. Leave note on your door:
"Bubba: Me & Bertha went for more ammo & beer. Back soon. Don't mess with the pit bulls; they messed the mailman up bad this morning. I don't think Killer took part; hard to tell from all the blood. I locked all four of 'em in the house. Better wait outside. Be right back. ~Cooter

We just read this from some of our pals in our groups and thought we'd pass on the message too. This message is from HQ...
We at HQ just wanted to give you a quick heads-up: both Dogster and Catster will undergo a period of downtime towards the end of next week — we are not sure of the exact date right now, but we are targeting Friday afternoon, August 5, from 3 p.m. onwards. As soon as we know the exact, confirmed schedule we will post an update here, so please do check back!
The sites will be down for around six hours as we move to a much more modern serving environment. Please note that we are not making *any* changes to the sites, we are just upgrading our hardware and Internet collocation.
We know that many of you have pawties/weddings and other pawsome events in your groups/forums on the weekends and don’t want to be party poopers, but we strongly recommend that any Dogster/Catster events scheduled between August 5 and 7 be rescheduled as we work out any kinks from the server move that weekend.
Should you be on the site the weekend of August 5th and see any glaring issues, please drop us a note in the Dogster and Catster Server Upgrade Group, which we created for feedback after the server switch. We will be working hard to address any bugs you run into during this time.
P.S. If you have any current issues with the site, please e-mail email@example.com as usual, this group is not for anything but post-server upgrade problems.
Thanks for reading! Much woof and meow!

She got in last night around 11:30. We're so glad she's home, but happier to be inside in the cool house. :o)
She said they did LOTS of walking and her calves are still moo-ing from being so sore. BOL Beside having sore calves, she got a blister on her foot and Miss Grace fell down the steps when she went to get her car, so her knee is all scraped up. (I can dress her up, but I can't take her anywhere can I?) BOL BOL
Anyway, I'm SOOO glad she's home. Have lots of sleep to catch up on, so better go continue where I left off.
Me and Austin missed everybody and hope everyone is doing well. :o
Love Ya All!!

We're gonna be offline thru Wednesday cause mama is going to Las Vegas with Otto, Sagwa and Daisy's mom Susie, and she's takin' her puter, so we won't have it here to check in to see who's b-day or DOTD or DDP is going on. But know we'll catch up with everybody when we get back.
I'm gonna be doing me some BIG TIME barkin' while mom's gone and she won't be able to do a thing about it! BOL Mom feels so sorry for our neighbors cause it doesn't matter to me what time of day or night it is, if there's someone or something to bark it...I'm there! (I have been known to bark at 2, 3 or 4:30 in the morning whenever I have to go out to potty. Doesn't make mom a happy camper to say the least.)
We want to wish all of our pals a wonderful, safe and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!. Its been very dry here so ALL the fireworks have been banned, even those at Sea World and Six Flags. Be careful whatever you do and if anyone passes buy...give 'em a good ole American (Or Canadian Day) bark!!
See ya when we get back!

Mom bought us some bully sticks last week from a place called "Best Bully Sticks" and they came in today's mail! And both me and Austin love 'em--a lot! Mom wasn't sure the boy was going to like them, because when she gave one to him, of course he turned up his nose and walked away. (She even took mine away from me to see if maybe he might like it better, since I had already "started" mine, but nope, he walked away again.) :o/ She put his on the couch where he was sitting and after a few sniffs, he took it and is on the floor chewing away on it right now as we speak! OMD! We're both so shocked! We're so proud of that boy--mama and me!! :o)
P.S. Mom got the "odor free" ones since it seems everything has a nasty smell once we start chewing on them--pig ears, cow hoofs, etc. So far, so good! :o)

Have ya'll seen or heard of this new show called "Unleashed: K9 Broward County" on TLC channel? It's a good drama but some of the things the cops say are too funny. And one of the officers is a germaphobe so that adds a lot of funny things too. Its on right now--Thur 9:00 and a new one at 9:30. Great dog police show! Ya'll should definitely check it out.

Well, as you know from reading Austin's diary, we both went to the vet yesterday. I basically had the same things done to me that Austin had done, but because I'm 7, I am now "qualified" to have some "senior" test done. This is a whole different panel of tests done from my urine plus all the ones Austin had. Well, only trouble is, they didn't get any urine from me. They tried and even looked on a ultrasound and could see my bladder was empty. Dr. Youngblood said I must have gone outside their office before I came in. Nope, didn't go there either. Hmm, wonder where the pee went?? Anywho, I've got to go back in 2 weeks for them to try again. :o(
Oh yeah, mom has thought all along I weighed over 100 lbs, but I don't--not anywhere close. I only weigh 77 pounds. Dr. Youngblood was very happy with my weight. Mom has thought I was overweight, but I'm not! YAY! Bring on the treats I say! BOL
Mom also bought me/us some special rawhides from the vet. They must be made from holy cows or something. BOL...seriously they're supposed to be better than the regular ones you just get a bag at the grocery store or Walmart. (They better be, they cost mom like a bajillion dollars or something just for 15 of 'em!!) Mom wants to make sure me and Austin live a long time and has been very diligent about checking where things are made and processed from, cause not all of the things are healthy from other countries.

Mom has made a vet appointment for me tomorrow to get me all checked out and stuff. They said the price will be $165 for the complete annual exam, which includes being tested for heart worms and all my shots. BUT, it's an extra $11 to have my nails clipped. I want to know...do you have to pay extra when the vet clips your nails or do they do it for free or is it included with your exam cost? Just Wondering
