OMD!! I'M DOGSTER'S DIARY OF THE DAY!!

I can't believe it!! We just got up (I know, I know, its afternoon time...its 12:30 here :o) ) and mom opened her computer and saw all these messages and prezzies from our friends and the first thing she thought was that we were being tagged with a new tag game...BOL! Then she went to my page to see what the messages were and everyone said I was diary of the day--ME! I am just so speechless!! (And we ALL know that doesn't happen too often!! ) BOL Thank you so much Dogster--it is a true honor!!

I'm so honored and so very thankful for such great friends like everyone we've met here on Dogster to give me prezzies and stuff! THANK YOU ALL EVER SO MUCH!

We've been reminicing lately about when we started here on Dogster (remember, mom had us here on Dogster for over a year before she got our pictures put up on our pages so we didn't start meeting pals until last year) and all the wonderful pups and kitties and their moms and dads that we have met and can call true friends. We are so very thankful for such great pals--both furry and human! We've enjoyed all the games, the laughs, the tears, the happiness and the sorrows we've shared with each and every one here and we love you all from the bottoms of our hearts!! Its pups and people like you that make this world a better place to live--and I'm so lucky to call you all my friends!!

Is Autum Here in Texas???!!!

We got lots and lots of rain today--over an inch! Which of course with the rain from last week everything is flooded around us. And right now at 10:20 p.m. central standard time it is 65 degrees! Can you believe that??!!! We had temps up in the 90s yesterday and now its down in the 60s. They say if you don't like the Texas weather, stick around for 5 minutes, it'll change. BOL The weather man is talking temps in the 60s and 70s next week but highs again in the 90s by Sunday. So I'm not sure if Autum is here to stay or will we be having an Indian Summer next month. Whatever the temps are gonna be-- anything is better than the 100+ temps we had this summer! And this cooler weather sure does make us friskier thats for sure.

It was late last night when I finished....

Mom found this website called Everywun.com that if you click on it every day you earn credits and then you can use your credits to donate food to animals....and you know we're all for feeding those pups and kitties less fortunate than us!!

DOGS ARE SMARTER THAN KIDS!!

Tonight on our news it said "that a new study claims that a dog' s mental plane is the same as a 2-1/2 y.o. kid!! (We knew that though didn't we!! BOL) It said most dogs can actually count, can learn up to 150 words and they intentionally deceive adults just to get treats!!" BOL

The study found the smartest dogs are:
1) Border Collies
2) Poodles
3) German Shepards
4) Golden Retrievers

This is just what their study showed--we know ALL dogs are smarter!!

Hi Everyone...My friend Wyoming's mom when to a candlelight vigil for dogs who have or had cancer or who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to having cancer. She took pictures of the ceremony and in 2 of the pictures on Wyoming's page there is some mist that appeared in the pictures that wasn't there at the actual ceremony. I KID YOU NOT--WE can actually see a pug in the 1st picture right about the middle on the right hand side. You can see the black face and the bulging eyes that pugs have.

Wyoming is living with cancer and is doing well with the holistic medicine they are using on her. Her ID # is 896980--go check it out and be sure and read her last two diary entries explaining about the vigil and all she saw and did. I know all of us know a pup pal or a family member who has cancer, has had cancer or who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge from cancer. I think you'll enjoy the pictures and the diary entries she wrote!!

Take a stand against MV and the NFL!!

We found this on one of the group pages here on Dogster about Mike Vick being able to go back to the NFL. We wanted to share with you so you too can sign the petition they talk about on Care2!! Lets all join together and bocott the NFL for letting MV come back to play!


Dogster is an amazing place full of happy, silly photos of a new stance, reaction to a toy, happy chases ~ so many cherished moments. And, when necessary, we grieve together when having to guide one of our beloved to the Bridge. We are truly lucky and loved. With that said, this diary post is not about us, but for those beautiful dogs whose lives were not humanely celebrated.

We are very disappointed and saddened that MV has been conditionally reinstated by the NFL. While it’s been stated that legally he’s paid a debt to society, a far greater debt remains and one incapable of recompense. We demand much more than a publicist-driven campaign in concert with HSUS to indemnify the torture, starvation, slaughter and sadism of MV. We want more than insincere atonement and photo ops. We want those lives that were lost to his heinous brutality and greed to matter.

As a personal form of protest to the profit-driven decision of the NFL, from this day forward we will no longer purchase items containing an NFL insignia. This may mean a change in some of Mom’s food items, but it’s our way, albeit small, of honoring the lives of far too many.

Rest sweetly, pups. We will never forget.
