IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!
Is anyone having a pirate say "Yar" when the log on to- dogster community page???September 24th 2010 2:36 pm[ View A Comments (20) ] It happens every time we get out and them come back into Dogster. There's nothing showing what makes the Yar, so we don't know where it is to avoid it. ????
Really? We haven't had that happen to us. I don't hear a yarrrrr... that is kinda cool? I guess? :o) Maybe you're special and you get the special 'yaaaaar' greeting! ;o) Yep, all the time lately. I didn't know if it had to do with Talk Like a Pirate day, but that was LAST week. Maybe the pirate on your page is real...BOL! Seriously, though, no yells like that on my 'puter. otherwise I would have to make a challenge to it with my barker machine! Nope, no pirate for me. Nope not me I'd like to see it though. we are not hearing anything either... Hmm, that's the strangest thing! Anytime we go back to the community page from any another page or when we first log on, we get "yar'ed" at. Can't see anything that's on the page to make it do it. (We're really not crazee, we do get Yar'ed at several times a day!!) Mom hasn't taken my Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow off my page, I wonder if they have anything to do with it, but it shouldn't. We just got the pictures off the Glitter Graphic website, and nothing usually "talks" to us and we use G.G. all the time for our pressies. Maybe there's a hidden message in the "Yar's" and I should write it down..it might be telling me where a hidden treasure is at! BOL BOL!! Not for us either Doo! I bewiebe yu, Doo, cuz it habbended here, tu!! Bud Momma usuawwy habs da audio turnded off cuz hur jumpses 'bout 10 ft. if hur r nod 'spectin' noize. I twy it now an' see if it habbenses!! Jus' twieded it now an' it dint habben, so I gess it r goneded! Hmm, I just checked it again after reading your post Zaidie, and it's still there. Its up towards the top of the page in the middle. Have you moved your cursor mouse all around to see if you get the YAR?? Too Too strange! Cood nod find it dis time, iber, Doo-gurl! Thanks Zaidie. Maybe it'll end this week when September is over (talk like a pirate day). If not, I'll have to ask HQ and see if they might know what it is and how to get rid of it. Doo-gurl BOL! Are your rosette messages opening up on your homepage? Are you sure it's not coming from that Pirate audio I sent you in the pirate rosette that says YAR? Hi Quince...well, some of the mystery is solved. It IS the same pirate in the audio you sent. But the rosettes aren't opening on my homepage. I had to go to the flag from you and click on it to get the pirate/video to open up. So, the little soundbite has also set itself on my page, kinda like a little glitch if you will, and when we open our community page, it "triggers" the glitch and makes the pirate YAR. BOL I bet it won't YAR when the flag you sent drops off when the month is up. BOL BOL thanks so much for helping me solve this, it was driving mom nuts!!! so we've got about 4 more weeks of YARing to go! BOL BOL MY YAR IS GONE!! Yep, when I went in this morning, there was no YAR to greet me. (Now it seems strange without it. BOL) The pirate flag fell off the "gifts we received in the past week" display on the community page. Thanks so much for everyone trying to help me figure out the mysterious YAR! :o) too funny Quincy! i never heard of audios in a rosette..how did you do it? i'd like to scare some pals for howlaween! *cackle cackle cackle... YAR! The reason I said that was because when we open our homepage, on the left column under the pics of family members, sometimes our recent rosettes show up opened where you can see the graphic and messaegs. When we look at that Pirate audio, it says YAR even before we click the arrow to play the entire soundbite, so I was thinking that was why you were being YAR'd at. BOL Nina, they do have Halloween ones, sending link below, but I think that really was a glitch for Doo. Sorry, Doo!
