Well, I've certainly been through alot here lately, guys. My human dad died a few days before Thanksgiving, so now I'm staying with my mommy's mom, because she is in no state to take care of me.
However, hopefully sooner then later my mom will be able to keep me again. I know she misses me and I miss her!
My human grandma spoils me to death, and I've gained some weight and put on lots of muscle. I get lots of walks, and everyone wants to take me home, because I'm such a sweet and pretty girl.
My mom takes comfort in the fact that I'm so well taken care of. If you think of it, send my mom some good thoughts. I'm sure she needs them!

Well, the other day mom and dad found some kittens and a mother cat on the side of the road. They ended up taking them to the humane society, which was OK with me because I like being the center of attention.
Mom and dad then thought, "well, if we cant' save these, maybe we can adopt others and give some deserving kittens a good home!"
The only problem? My dad gets sick sometimes with die-a- bee-tees and cats' claws are notorious for their bacteria.
Just so you know, I do have a big brother. His name is "Naked" and he does have his claws. However, he is older and only uses his claws to destroy furniture. He doesn't like to play any more, so he is "safe" for dad.
After reading some further information, mom wondered whether a cat would be a good fit for her family, and posted on Catster. Mom found out later what an awful mistake that was.
First off, mom didn't realize how strongly people felt about declawing kitties. Mom just thought that as long as the kitties were adopted and had a good home, that it would be worth them being declawed.
After she learned how cruel it was, she decided that another cat wouldn't be a good fit for our home. It seemed too complicated, what with all of the conflicting advice. Some people told her to adopt kittens and declaw anyway, some said declawing was terrible, some said to adopt a senior cat with its claws, but none of it really seemed "right" to my mom. Besides, I'm not a big fan of cats and mom wasn't sure how safe it would be to add another cat, anyway.
She decided that it would be best to add an older dog to the house, as opposed to a cat. After all, no claws to worry about. Plus, it would be a good companion for me to run around with because I really LOVE other dogs.
After she posted her decision in the "other" forum, she was terribly flamed. People said that she was a bad person, and attacked her relationship with my "daddy", the doctor's suggestions, and even suggested that mom shouldn't adopt at all because she was such a bad person!
Mom was upset, and deleted her account. She feels bad, still, and wishes that she'd never posted there in the first place. She has learned her lessons, and will stick with dog people from now on!

Well hello again, guys!
I've had a pretty good few days! On Saturday, I went to our local keeshond club's puppy match. Mom and I had a really good time: they had a handling class for all of the newbies like my mom, and I even got to be shown against my sister, Margo. Her coat looks ALOT better then mine does right now because alllll of my fluffy undercoat is gone and she won. I don't mind, because Margo is beautiful!
Mom thinks that here this coming fall as the weather cools, my coat will come in beautifully and will make sure to take lots of pictures of me.
Also while there, I got to try out the agility equipment. Because I'm not quite 18 months, mom lowered it for me so that I wouldn't jump too high and damage my bones and joints.
As usual, I was fearless and went through the tunnel with out hesitation and over all of the jumps and the tire ring and through the weave poles. As this was my first time, I had to really try hard to figure out what mom wanted, but all in all I caught on really quickly and my mom and everyone else was really proud of me.
Mom thinks this may be where I am really able to shine.
I DID get my pants on fire though, and ran and ran and ran all over the agility ring with my butt really low to the ground in that funny way while barking my fool head off that makes mom crack up! Luckily this wasn't a for real match and that everyone there was amused by my antics rather then annoyed by them.
Mom's mentor even said that out of the litter, that I got all the personality!
MOM is officially a member of the local keeshond club!!!! She was really happy and excited!
They sure talked about alot of controversial things, like how that mandatory spay/neuter law in California will soon be heading our way and what to do to prevent that.
Mom thinks that people should be more responsible with their animals in general and thinks its sad that its had to come to this in many places.
Anyway, mom got some great hiking pictures, but she can't show them on Dogster because I'm not in all of them (but they are very pretty!)
Well, that's all for now!!!!
