Arrival Story:
He appeared at my husband's Hunt Club one cold, rainy weekend -- days away from death from starvation and his right rear leg completely lame. "Bring him home -- we'll find him a home." After carefully feeding him for a week (I really wasn't sure he'd make it), he weighed in at the Vet at only 37 lbs, but seemed healthy otherwise . Two months later (after some weight gain), an X-Ray showed he was more than likely hit by a car and the right side of his hip was crushed. Five months of weight gain later (by the way, we found him a home -- OURS), after considering amputation, our Vet did FHO surgery. He (Luke) and I did four months of physical therapy and he now walks primarily on 4 legs! He's up to 62 lbs., is the sweetest dog in the world and the only dog I've ever loved.

Bio:
Luke happily shares our house with 5 cats -- it's amazing how well they get along. Oh, and can anyone help us out with what mix of breed he is?
