Thieves and stuff

So my moms said that someone stole my seat belt!! Can you believe it? I guess they took the car it was in too, which is bad for the mommies. Luckily my other stuff wasn't in there or I'd be really mad! They said they ordered me a new seat belt already and it's supposed to be softer, so that'll be nice for my tender little armpits. We haven't gotten to go anywhere fun in the new car yet but I keep hearing the word beach getting tossed around so maybe when my seat belt comes we'll get to go have fun!! Sure hope so. They've already gotten me my very own cover for the whole back seat of the car. I can't wait to get it sandy!

Oh yea, I guess we're moving to a bigger place later in the year. Momma Cindi is allergic to the kitties so they're gonna lock them out of the bedroom. Kind of sad that I won't get to snuggle with my Luna kitty at night, but if it makes momma Cindi feel better, than I guess that's ok. Word has it that I'll be left out of my crate more over there too, once I get used to the new place and know that they're not leaving me there. Momma Cindi's gonna take a couple days of off work to hang out with me & the kitties while we check out our new home.

Vacation!

Hi! Sorry I haven't written in a while, my mommies have been hogging the computer these last few months. We went for a super long car ride last week and ended up in some place called Idaho. They kept telling me we were there, like I know what it means. Anyways, we stayed in some strange room for 4 nights. The coolest thing was that 3 mornings in a row, the mommies took me to a neat place where I got to play with tons of dogs! They dropped me off, went somewhere and came back later in the day for me. Man, was I tired from all that playing! It rocked! One time in the hotel, I was looking out the window at all this white stuff flying around. It was kinda mesmerizing. The mommies said it was snow. All I know is it was cold! But I got to wear my new jacket so that was cool since I like to dress up. We got back in the car for about a half a day and went to another strange room, this time in a place called Utah. We went and saw a friend of Momma Kym's and I got to play with a little kid. It was so cool, she was just my height so I got lots of face lickin in. I only knocked her over a couple times, but I don't think she minded. It'd be cool to have a little person like that around, I hope the mommies get me one! Then the mommies and the nice lady went away somewhere while I stayed with some guy. He was nice and played with me but I was real happy when the mommies got back. Kinda scary being in all these new places but I act tough and kinda like being new places too. We went to go back home the next day and ran into a big storm so we had to stop in yet another strange room. This time we were in Nevada. I got to play in some fluffy white stuff called snow, it was awesome! The mommies put my jacket & boots on and away we went. It was pretty cool. We got back in the car the next day and drove home. Finally! I licked my kitty all over and she purred and I got to lay in my favorite rocking chair. It was a pretty fun trip, and even though I was snuggled up to my mommies every night we were gone, I like it at home the best.

Protest at the Sacramento Capitol

Early Monday morning the mommies drove us out to Sacramento to go to a protest against SB 861. They say there are people "in power" that want to change our state's laws so they can discriminate against dogs like me. I don't understand what I did to make them mad. I guess some people have dogs and don't treat them right and watch them and take care of them like they should, so sometimes the dogs get out or get mad or hurt and then sometimes they hurt people. That's why we went, to show that these kind of laws against certain breeds of dogs don't work and they hurt good dogs like me and good owners like my mommies. There were lots of people there and some dogs. We couldn't play with each other cuz we were takin care of serious business, but I got to say hi to most of them. There was a really nice lady there that everyone wanted pictures with, I guess she's famous or something, her name is Linda Blair, she does a lot of rescue and awareness work. It was a good day and I got a lot of love and compliments, even though the mommies said I was a little more hyper than they'd like. But hey, it was exciting!

I'm a magickal dog

That nice group of ladies came over our house again last week. I like when they come over, I get lots of love & kisses and told I'm handsome. And the mommies usually buy me a new toy cuz they know I'm going to be so good! This time they did the same thing as last time where they all stand in a circle and face different ways and say things, they say they're calling the directions, I just like to stand with them whatever it is they're doing. After they stopped doing that and I was in the middle of them all, one of the ladies had me walk around in a circle in the middle, they said I invoked center and that I'm a magickal dog. I'm not too sure what that means but I liked it. I like how the house feels when they're all here doing that. Plus, I get a new toy. This time it was a "Bad Cuz", it's awesome! It's rubber & makes noise and it took me forever to get those darn feet off of it. I finally made it stop squeaking 2 days ago but the mommies said it's still a great investment. I hope that means I'll get more of them. I overhead them saying their women friends are coming over to circle again in 2 weeks. I can't wait! More love & another toy!!

100 degrees?

I don't know what that means, but I don't like it. Ever since we got back from camping last week, the mommies keep saying we can't go do much, like go to the park or for walks because it's over 100 degrees outside. Stupid degrees, whatever you are!! They still let me go lay out in the patio, but I start panting and get thirsty so I tell them to let me back in so I can lay on the kitchen floor. Man, I'll sure be glad when these degree things are gone, then we can go walk & run & play again!
Oh yea, I broke my collar when we were camping so I got a new collar AND matching leash and haven't been able to go show it off since we've been staying inside. Sigh.

Hanging out outside!

We went & lived outside for 4 days again! It was great. There was grass all around that flimsy house thing we slept in. I got to lay around in it all the time, even though it did give me a rash on my tummy (it was so worth it!). We were a couple minutes away from the Russian River, it was cool! Got to go splash around and run around the beach, although the rocks hurt my feet that second day and I was real tired the rest of the day. My friend Pinkie the German Shepherd was there too! I don't know why, but her & her people were across this little road. Even little Cinnamon was there, but she doesn't like me too much. I also got to meet a cool boy named Kyle. He came over & played with me all the time. He'd come over and unhook me and play with me & my new squirrel frisbee while my mommies were reading or making food or something. I got to meet a lot of new people, I think they were special to momma Kym somehow. Some of them weren't sure if I was nice or a good boy at first, but I think I won most of them over by the time we left. There were some other little dogs there with all those people that didn't like me, but that's ok cuz I had Pinkie, Kyle, the river and my mommies to play with.

Finally!

That nice lady came over tonight and was tugging at my owie on my back paw. It was a little uncomfortable the more she messed with it, but I think she pulled all that stuff out. The mommies say we're going to the park tomorrow evening now that I got my stitches out. Yay! I'm excited about that, been stuck in the house ever since I had that little surgery. Cept for last night when everyone was busy moving a table outside I snuck a quick run in around the lawn and even got to say hi to a nice girl that was walking down the street. The mommies finally got a hold of me and put me back inside and then out on the patio til they were done so I wouldn't be tempted to run amok again! But I get to go run & play tomorrow. Woo-hoo!

Stupid thing

Man, these last few days have sucked. The mommies put this big white cone thing on my head when they leave me alone. They tell me it's for my own good, so I won't rip my stitches out when they're not watching me. See, I had this thing on my back paw, the mommies called it a tumor. It hurt, stuck up between two of my toes. Well they had been watching it and it got bigger and redder so they had that nice lady come over and look at me. They took me to her house a couple days later so she could remove it. I was so tired when I left there, felt a little wobbly, not sure why, I just remember falling asleep and then waking up with this bandage thing wrapped around my paw. I haven't been able to go for walks, hang out on the patio or go to the park since this happened either (sigh). Anyways, I'll sure be glad when my stitches are out and I don't have to wear that cone thing anymore! I swear I can hear the cats laughing at me! Momma Cindi calles me Franken-puppy cuz of my stitches, but I don't mind, they're always calling me silly things.

Interesting couple of days

My mommies took me to the park on Thursday. I had a blast as usual! There was this one dog there that my mommies loved. He was pretty cool I admit, but I'm glad he didn't come home with us! On Saturday we went over to some house and I got to play with this dog Sophie all day! We hung out in the back yard and got to go in & out of the house as we pleased! It was awesome, except when everyone left us back there. I was a little nervous as I had never been left like that. I guess they went somewhere to eat. I was sure glad to see my mommies coming back through the gate!!!!! I slept all the way home and all night. I was pretty tired Sunday too. Kinda sore too. Plus my allergies were bothering me as I was in the grass so long. I just didn't feel too good. But my mommies were super nice. They had some errands to run and let me stay out of my crate for the first time while they were gone for a few hours. It was kinda weird and the cats kept looking at me funny, but I just slept on the bed like I would have if they were home. When they got home I was nervous for just a second cause I thought, what if they just forgot to latch the crate door? Am I supposed to be out? But then they showered me with kisses and "good boy"s. I even got a special bone!!

Fun Day

Today the mommies walked me down to the park where the little dog park area is that we used to go to. I was all excited cuz we hadn't been there in a while. We ended up walking right past it! I was confused and mad, but all of a sudden we went to this area where there were tons of dogs & people! It was a special day, they called it a walk-a-thon for the SPCA. That's where the mommies found me! It was fun, I got to say hi to a lot of people and different dogs. I even got to play a little with some of the dogs, even though we were still on our leashes. I don't understand why all the people didn't just let all us dogs run and be free together. I got to wear this cool bandana and am still wearin it at home (my mommies call it my cape) and we went for a long walk with all the other dogs. It was cool! The mommies got shirts and bags full of goodies for me and them! There was some little puppies there that the mommies were all oohin and aahin over, but our house isn't big enough for another fur brother or sister right now. They were pits like me, mixed with Boxer. I sniffed em through the cage, they smelled all new and nice. Someday they'll get me a little puppy. For now I'll just keep plauing with my kitty. Ok, back to my nap now!
