since my mum was last on here alot of changes have happened my daddy owner ran off with another person leaving us pets and family to cope, its been very tough for my mum on her own for the last year but shes managed to get by. also now we may lose our home my mum is trying hard to get the council to house us as well as her, fingers crossed we all find a good home soon. the local housing authority dont like housing dogs at all which is wrong, my owner has had me for over 8 years now and would rather live on the streets than part with me and sooty.so its a verytense time for us all over the next 10 weeks.dont know how my daddy owner could just abandon me and sooty as we thought he loved us its very sad.at least my mummy owner still has us.to love.how things change over the last year.

After worrying ourselves sick it was another disc going when pippin went lame on us again we now have got to the bottom of it after a few vets visits, He has a nasty urine infection and has now been put on antibiotics, his tail is now up and he seems much happier. The vet has referred him for some physio on his back as it does seem rather stiff at times especcially in the morning when he wakes up. His physiotherapist is lovely and is very good with pip. She puts heat on his back and massages his muscles and this seems to help him alot. I think he will need it more in the winter months. She also examined pippins back and is happy there is not another disc about to go which is really good news , we thought the worst when he had gone lame again.Hes banned from the stairs and jumping off our bed and i have to stop him jumping off the sofa which can be hard as dogs are so quick to do it. I have to watch him like a hawk, so pippin is looking forward to his holiday at the end of august not far away now.

Pippin had been doing so well since his op 1 year 2 months ago, now hes showing signs of another disc problem we are all very upset, hes lame at the moment caging himself very sad. Ive taken him back to our vet shes put him on antiinflammitry tablets and jab changed his food to hills jd diet for joint problems. No walks for a while carry him to do his bussiness then back to cage. Just hope it doesnt come to another disc going to go i hope he doesnt have to go through another big op like before. very costly to. Im very worried at the moment as hes been through so much and i hate to see my baby suffer, dogs have very sad eyes when unwell. The medication seems to be helping slowly but i think its going to take a hell of alot of cage rest before he recovers hopefully without and surgery this time.Hes only 5 years old and has been through so much. poodle shitzu is the worst cross for back problems so im told by the orthopaedic vet.My other dog seems to know hes not well and leaves him alone funny how they seem to know.Hope my baby recovers soon for his nice holiday to the new forest next month if not ill take the cage for him to still recover if not.
