I get to go on a long car trip to see my aunt Tami on friday. Mommy and sissy have a wedding to go to so I get to see my cousins Roxy and Scooter, an we get to stay until monday morning.

I hope it goes better than last time, I got in trouble for giving Roxy a fat lip.

But then again, Roxy got beat up by one of her cat cousins last month so maybe it's just that she's beat-up-able.

My grandaddy and grandmommy are going to be there too. My grandaddy really spoils me when I see him, so I'm holding our for extra treats.

Besides, when we go to aunt Tami's house, my mommy brings treats and toys for all the doggies, but of course I've gathered them all up into my own little treat pile within about 5 minutes. After all, my mommy brought them so they're mine, right?

And since Aunt Tami lives in the country with a big fenced yard, my mommy lets me go outside without a leash. She keeps a very close eye on me though.

And the best part? THE BIRD ISN"T GOING!

well, gotta go pack.. I'll keep you all posted on my mini-vacation.

THEY MOWED THE FIELD!

so my mommy took me out to the field behind the grocery store at 5:30 this morning as usual and SOMEBODY MOWED IT!

Bad, BAD, humans!

What about my privacy? There's all these delivery trucks hanging around and I don't want all these people watching my early morning poop!

how am I supposed to chase crickets through the thickets if there are no thickets to chase crikets through?
Honestly!

Oh, well, I still gotta poop so here it is, all you truck drivers waiting to get into the loading zone.

Geez, it's gonna take at least a month for the grass to get over my head again. How am I supposed to be a stealth puppy when I have no cover?

What a day!

What's that?

omd, omd, OMD! There's a fly in the house!

get it get it get it get it get it.. DANG!

If I can just jump a little higher... DARN!

Wait, there it is on the vertical blinds, if I can sneak up on it...closer, closer, closer, only 1 more inch...HEY! where'd it go?

OK, this means WAR!

come back here so I can eat you.. ok, I'll come to you, hold still, here I come...

OOPS, sorry mommy. I didn't mean to use you as a launching pad, but you know in times of war there's always collateral damage. the bruises should go away in a few days. I'll be sure to make it up to you by leaving a cookie in your bed.

THERE HE GOES! get it get it get it get it get it get it... boy, is he fast!

Jump, jump, jump, ok, now he's just toying with me..

There he is on the wall. OK, slowly...slowly, GOT HIM!

boy, that's a lot of work for a little bit of treat, but he was almost as much fun as the crickets in the field.

Boy am I pooped. Time for a nap, I'll leave a cookie for mommy later.
