Arrival Story:
We had lost a dog, Sport, to cancer 6 months earlier and the house was so empty and lonely. My husband suggested we get a puppy and even though I didn't want another dog (the pain of losing Sport was so devastating) I went to just "look" at some puppies. One just stole my heart, I couldn't leave without her and that's how we got our Sweet, Sweet Dixie Louise. She passed away July 6, 2003 at the grand old age of 14 years 7 months 14 days.
