Bella loves to play and be with other dogs, and she was home alone during the day. So we found Emmy on the internet, and went and picked her up. She has been a bundle of energy ever since. Bio: Emmys ears have been a journey since we got her. We asked the breeder if she thought her ears would stand up or be floppy (like our other schnauzer) and she said that if they start standing up, to just tape them down and that will allow them to stay floppy. We asked our vet about it, and she agreed. So, we started glueing her ears down - and we did so for 5 long months! I know...crazy! Well, they just werent staying down, so we gave up, and those ears just stayed up nice and tall...and we grew to LOVE them! Everyone always said how great her ears were...and they were. Well, a couple of months of them standing straight up, one started to fold a little, then it flopped all the way. So then we had one up and one down for about a month. Then, the other started to flop as well. And now, they are both floppy...I guess the glueing worked after all. Pretty crazy! She is cute any way you slice her. Saturday we all packed up our stuff and headed to the lake!! I love going places and being out of my humans little apartment. We got out to the water, and my sister loves it!! She is jumping in and swimming - having a great time!! So, I decide to give it a try!! So, I jump in and decide the best thing for me to do is swim to shore!! Its only about 150 yards away - I can make it!! I hear my Mom and Dad trying to call me back, but I have to get to shore!! Finally, my Mom catches up with me and helps me back to the boat. Then... I realized I dont have to swim to shore...the boat will work. I am so glad I had my life jacket on! I was sooo tired when I got back. I will never try to swim to shore again.
