About Me!

Hey there! This is Sophie, a mixed-up-mutt who is almost six years old. I was a rescue dog and found my Momma when she worked at the airport. I was homeless, so after Momma got off work, she took me home to my new home. It was pretty scary at first. I arrived here on the 9th of September,2001, right before the 9-11 tragedy. Momma said she will always remember my arrival because of 9-11. When I got here there were already two other dog pets living with Momma and Poppa, but she told me there was pleanty of room in the house for me and in her heart, as well! I was timid, and afraid of everything...noises, the other dogs, people, even my own shadow! I am still like that to this day. Momma said I must have had a rough beginning in my life to be so scared of everything. I can't remember my life before Momma, so that is probably best. The other two dogs, Keesie and Benji, were very nice to me and after I got used to them, I was okay. Momma and Poppa are my favorites, though, and I hate having to share them with other pets. A year later Momma and Poppa drug in another rescue dog. Just what I needed! More competition! Actually after we all got used to each other, Sam, the new dog was pretty cool and became my best friend. We lost our Keeshond brother, Benji, this past May 15th, 2007, though, which made us pets and Momma and Poppa very sad. Now it is just us three dogs and two cats in the family. I hope that is all....no more extra pets coming in. I couldn't deal with that, again. I guess that is all for today. I am not into writing and keeping a journal like my Momma said I need to do, so I may be a while before I enter another story about me!
