Back Again

Okay, I can't believe it's been almost a year since I last blogged. that is just ridiculous. A lot has happened but I won't recap everything and bore everyone to tears. In a nutshell, L is engaged to T, who moved in along some Egyption artifacts that sometimes scares me, M got married and B got Rocky, my new friend.

I'm hoping that they let me be Flower Girl at the wedding, especially since M never even asked me to be in her wedding. I don't know why since I would look so pretty in a flower girl dress. Last night, L and T watched their favorite (well, L's favorite show) Dancing with the Starts where L likes to guess the scores and say Carrie Anne Inaba in a funny voice and had some Trader Joe's dumpling things that L didnt think were as good as eggrolls. They started watching a House but then L fell asleep even though she tried to pretend she was awake. She does that a lot.

There is a whole new cast of characters in the lobby now, including a few who think my name is PEPPA. But I dont care since I get treats. On Sunday, we went on a long walk to see the kiddies in their new house but I got in trouble bc I was kind of bad and barked at dogs and people. L was grumbling bc another barking collar failed to work and she is threatening to go back to the citronella one.

Whats's with the weather?

It really blows. Yesterday morning, L took me out and I turned right back around and went inside. I didn't even do my business and L said I would have to hold it in until we got to B's house. I didn't like the rain and I thought I would get a treat but Herman Sherman wasn't working yet and Robert didn't offer me anything. My plan didn't really work but I did hold it in.

I stayed at B's last night bc L went to Oleana for dinner. It was very good, especially the enormous baked alaska she got for dessert. Tonight I think L and B are going to the shops.

The other night, L and M watched two really good SVUs, one of which Olivia went undercover to catch a creepy guard. very good episode. the girls had egg rolls and i had a yummy chicken stick thing.

Sad times

We are all sad at the red house. Jackie wasn't getting better and he was put to sleep yesterday. I hate B and everyone being so sad so I'm trying to be cute and well behaved and cheer them up. I hope it works.

L bought me a new spray collar which I hate. It's been making me bark less except when I get really excited. I just want everyone to be happy again. L is looking for a border terrier puppy for B. I found out they call girl dogs: "bitches" and boy dogs "males." doesn't sound very nice to me but what do i know?

L, M and I are sleeping over B's house tonight and they are going to Delfino. not sure what else is on the agenda for the wknd. L finally got those space bags she's been going on about but i don't think they save too much room.

Rumor W. and Becker

Before I talk about my weekend, just a few thoughts. How come Rumor Willis isn't in college? Her only claim to fame is having famous parents. According to Wikipedia, she is an "American Actress" but what has she been in lately? She didn't even get to be Miss Golden Globe bc the awards were cancelled. She should really be enrolled in college. That bugs me and L.

Secondly, a quick note on Becker. L watched the show again while running on the treadmill this morning. Becker is all upset bc his girlfriend dumped him and moved to Chicago but he's not talking about it to his office staff or the people at the coffee shop. First though, Red (not sure her real name, that's what Becker calls her) got an A in her pysch class and she's all happy that she won't have to work in the coffee shop the rest of her life. But then, she goes into NYC to celebrate and finds out that the security guard at the Empire State Building was a pysch major and she gets all depressed. Also, Anita from 3C comes to Becker's apartment bc she sliced her hand and she is a hooker and it turns out was a pysch major in college too. kind of stupid episode since they were not giving going to college a very good reputation. So after all that, perhaps Rumor doesn't need to go to college or i guess just not be a pysch major.

This weekend, L went to Long Island so I stayed at B's. so fun except I got in trouble a bit bc i snuck out after B came home from the supermarket and she couldn't find me anyore. I can't wait to see her tonight. L did really well in gin much to T's dismay on the boat--he hates to lose--but she only won $2 in the easter egg game. She had a great piece of Carvel Easter Bunny cake but had the foot which hardly had any crunchies in it. She also ate yummy quiche and bagel and lox. We are both looking forward to seeing M tonight and watching The Hills.

Becker

So this morning while running on the treadmill, L watched an episode and a half of Becker. She could not get over how dated the show was (in addition to ridiculous). Becker smoked cigarettes in a coffee shop. She's not sure how good a doctor he would be. While he had a waiting room full of patients, he was complaining to the receptionist and a nurse about a charge of $11.47 on his phone bill that was made to Chico, California. That was the whole premise of the show--him trying to get the charge removed. And then when he called the number, this little boy answered who said that he had two mothers. Becker said, oh right, it's california, what do you expect.

L has a blister on her big toe post run and thinks it may be time for some new sneakers. Perhaps her and M will go to Marathon Sports, where L just learned M loves for some reason.

L just went to Petco and I can't wait to have one of the treats she bought me. She also bought some bacon flavored sauce to mix in with my dog food since I'm being picky lately and not eating. She hopes this helps but is only going to give me a little so i don't get pudgy. I have to go to the vet in a few months and want to get a good report.

This weekend she is going to Long Island so I'm going to stay at B's again. I've been told that I can't get in any fights over toys. we'll see.

Road Races

Boy, I'm glad that L didn't know in advance that dogs could enter the 5k she ran on Sunday. She may have wanted to drag me along and most likely, I would not have been a fan of the sheep dog they patted. I don't like any dog with more fur than me. L was amazed how knot-free that dog's fur was so she made a vow to brush me every night. So far she has been true to her word, much to my chagrin. I don't like when she brushes my tail or ears but she says that they are as smooth as silk now.

Last night I was a very good girl when her and T walked to UBurger. I don't know what it is about Comm Ave but I never fail to get compliments. First some couple came up to T and said how cute I was and asked what kind of dog i was and then when we passed by Cornwalls, a worker was outside smoking and said I was so cute. He thought I was a maltese though. Apparently his girlfriend has a maltapoo. One of my ribbons came out of my hair but I still look good I think.

Ran into Freddy outside

He just got his first haircut--geez, I've been getting them for years--but to me and L he didn't look any different. J, his owner, said they hardly cut anything but did cut his nails which he needed. He went to some place in Brookline, no Continental Shoppe for him. J, as always, noticed my haircut and commented how he loves how they left my tail so long. I think he might have a doggie crush on me. I was very friendly to Freddy which made L happy. M told her that Sam only has one eye and is old so I should be nicer to her. I told her that I can't make any promises. L still doesn't like Sam's owner who sounds like she has a British accent even though she is from Brookline.

Funny, at Angel Memorial, L saw another resident, R and her crazy frizzy hair. She was toting the cat in the cage that I barked at once in the garage and R gave L us a dirty look.

We slept at B's last night; so fun but L and B had to take Jackie to the vet and they were said when they got home. I was so excited to see Jackie when they got back.

Tonight, L and M are going to watch Lost. L's had a cold all week and her coughing is starting to annoy me. I think she is on the mend though which is good. The girls are running a 5k on Sunday but L hasn't run in weeks so it probably won't be too pretty. I'm going to skip it.

Oops

I was having a grand time rolling around outside the blue house but when I got out everyone started yelling that I smelled and was filthy. I thought I smelled good but I heard L and especially T saying that I smelled like a horse and wasnt allowed back in the house. Next thing I know, L is pouring buckets of water over me and shampooing me. And, it wasn't warm out either. I learned my lesson, well at least until next time I smell something of interest.

Yesterday, L had the day off so we slept in a bit but I didn't know she wasn't going to work so I kept trying to wake her up. We then drove to T's who was cleaning her house and M&A played with me a bit. They went to Cabot's but L & B got the fat free hot fudge which wasn't very good. next time they are going for the full-fat stuff. Last night, L went out to dinner with C at Eastern Standard (second time this week) so I hung out at M's house and I got a very good report.

On Tuesday night, L went out with TW and L, a girl from the building, and I stayed over B's house. so fun. L had a slight headache the next day though from a few drinks. I don't know why she does that. so silly. She is still obsessed with finding french macaroons and is stalking bakeries to no avail. Also, she is all about scrapbooking supplies but I haven't seen her get to work yet. I think she just likes the paper and idea of it.

Finally, we ran into the blasted golden retriever in the lobby and I barked like a maniac. We got dirty looks from the owner but I didn't care. she bugs me.

Cat fight

L tells me that I have to learn to share my toys more. She says that because I'm an only dog, I never learned to share. I can't help it but I really don't like it when Tina takes my toys away. I got really mad this weekend and kept growling at Tina after she tried to steal the stuffed animal that I was chewing. For the record, she started it. And, if you want to get nitpicky, they are toys from my house any way. But, then I felt horrible because Tina got really upset and I scared her. She refused to go outside with me but at the time, I didn't care because I was mad at her. I felt bad later and we made up.

Last night on our walk to UBurger, a homeless man whistled at me and said I was the cutest dog he's ever seen. I sure don't get tired of hearing that.

L was in SF for a few days so I spent some time at B's which is fun. On Friday night, we all stayed in and got caught up on the last two episodes of LOST. the girls really liked it but it was a bit scary for me and Vincent wasn't even on. They had burritos from Anna's but they didnt' share with me. On Saturday, we stayed at the house and T and his mom from NY came to visit. M babysat while they went to lunch. Then Saturday night, we all slept in Brookline. Jackie wasn't feeling well so B was sad but luckily he was better on Sunday. The girls had sushi (one kind was horrible) and we all watched the boring Oscars. I hadn't seen any of the movies though so I really didn't care what won.

L and M signed up to run a 5k in South Boston in March. This is good bc it will force L to start running again and not be lazy.

Princess

that's what L said I should be re-named after my visit to the groomer's on Tuesday. I look so slim and beautiful and am getting so many compliments. L is relieved that it was just my fur making me look so fluffy and not extra lbs. I didn't enjoy it, but I got a good report. The girl told B when she picked me up that I was good as always. I have two bows in my hair now too.

L got chastised a bit bc the lady says she needs to brush me more bc i was so matted in places. She says she is going to but we'll see if it happens. I've been staying at B's house bc L is in San Francisco for a meeting. She gets home tomorrow morning. We are going to stay in on Friday night with M and get caught up on Lost episodes. The girls have two to watch.

Last night, L and two girls from work went to dinner at the Slanted Door, some well known Vientnamese place. It was only ok. She's had better. The hotel was only ok. The bathroom was so tiny that the sink had to be in the main room and she kept banging her elbows in teh shower. She is coming home on the red eye tonight and hopes she can sleep on the plane. Today at lunch L ordered a turkey ruben, somethign she typically would never order. not much on the menu though and she figured she should enjoy herself. probably a zillion calories though. She keeps threatening tha we have to start running again. L has to de-clutter the apartment a bit this weekend too.

I hate Samantha,

the golden retriver in the building. L hates her owner who sometimes pretends to have a British accent and I hate the dog. L got mad at me last night bc i barked like a maniac when I saw her in the lobby. I didn't care though and wouldn't stop.

Last night, L and M had veggie burgers wrapped in lettuce (no bun) and I got a Trader Joe's bone that L said I ate so fast. That hurt my feelings a bit. The girls watched American Idol for a bit but L kept falling asleep. I wanted her to play a game of squeaker but she only threw it a few times. She was tired after her long trip to Troy. Last night she leaned over to pat me and squished me. It made me squeal a bit but then I was fine. Hopefully that won't happen again. I'm glad L didn't put my rain coat on this a.m. I hate that thing.

Tonight M is coming over and they are going to watch AI again. L has to go to the supermarket after work and might get them Weight Watcher treats for dessert.

Back on Track

with the entries; not a reference to L's tiny physical therapist (name of the company) when she broke her right paw, i mean wrist. I am back on track and dedicated to the blog. Since a lot has happened since October, I won't recap everything but start with the new. L has scheduled me for a trip to the beauty parlor next Tuesday which I'm not happy about. Besides being dirty (T even said I smelled badly which I didn't appreciate), she is worried that I have gained weight. I say it's my fur that's making me look extra fluffy but we'll see next week.

Saturday was Maxy's birthday at Border's. Dogs weren't invited unfortunately although it was a Scooby Doo theme. doesn't really make sense to me. I heard it was a great time. Ava got scared when she heard that the story was about Scooby tracking down a werewolf so L had to take her out of the room and entertain her. Saturday night was a treat because L and I slept at B's house. super fun. Yesterday, L, M and B went shopping and even though L is on a freeze, she bought a few tops at Loehmanns. But they were pretty cheap so that is okay. Last night, L and M had yummy sushi from Oiishi and I had a Better than Pig's Ear which was also very tasty.

Me as a giraffe?

I found out that L bought me a giraffe costume for Halloween. I'm hoping we don't go to the dog parade this year but she is undecided. Last year it was very overwhelming and I jumped in C's arms while L was registering us. L says that I'll look great as a giraffe with my new haircut.

I've been at B's for a few days--L is being a bit Britney these days--but don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing B to K Fed. B is beyond fun.

Today L is coming over after work and her and B are going jean shopping. Then tomorrow night L has a halloween party; she is going to be a pirate. She is going to run in the morning though; she has been really bad lately about going.

No excuses

L has been terrible about updating the blog. I keep telling her to but she says she's been busy.

L's been on a kick to clean out her drawers and has done a pretty good job in the kitchen. She has been going nuts with the shredder though. I don't like the loud noise it makes. On Saturday, L was supposed to go to B&G with C (I was at Barbara's) but then C called and said her car was stolen. L took her to the police station but they didn't see any cute policemen. Only a friendly dispatcher woman and a surly officer who yelled at C for taking her copy of the form before he signed it. Then they went to Eastern Standard.

On Sunday, L and M went to Eastern Standard but they got their food much too quickly and the waitress was a bit weird. She kept saying: give me a second when they asked her for something. They got the usual granola with yogurt but there wasn't much fruit on it and included grapes which L thought was weird. But they have the newspaper which they like. They also liked seeing all the families in town for Parent Weekend at BU.

Sunday night we all stayed up late to watch the game and we didnt' go to bed until after 1; we were very tired the next day although I have to admit I dont find baseball that interesting. L and M didnt even go running on Monday. Monday night i was all excited and the girls played fetch with me and my Minnie Mouse. I am very fast.

Oh, I got the cutest haircut the other week. I had a yellow bow in my hair but it has fallen out. L thinks it was when i was rough housing with Tina. I've been trying to be better about chasing squirrels but I still get very excited and can't help myself.

They did it!

The race was this past Sunday and after all their complaining and L's moaning about her feet, they are sad it's over. We went running this morning (only 4 miles) and I got filthy. I keep overhearing L talk about how I need a haircut but I'm not encouraging it. I got in big trouble this morning--L was so mad at me. When we got to B's house, L opened the door and a squirrel caught my eye. I couldn't help myself, I charged over to it and ended up in our next door neighbor's yard. She was so mad at me and started yelling my name. I came back but I just wanted to catch the squirrel. She said I better not do that again.

Last night, L and M ate frozen pizza (no cheese) which they said was good and I had a Better than a Pig's Ear which I bet was better. L had said she wanted to help M with the scrapbook surprise for T's birthday but she didn't feel like it. She went nuts looking for a suit jacket for a while but then she found it.

2 weeks until the big race

I just found out that dogs can't get numbers. Here I was doing all this training for nothing. oh well. L and M will have to tell me all about it. Chased a bunch of geese/swans today and got in some good barks at dogs on the run this a.m. What happened to the days of sleeping in?

L's travel schedule has finally calmed down. She had three trips to the west coast in two months. She said she was like Britney leaving the kids but I understand. She has to make money for bones and dog beds. We are glad to be together again although I keep overhearing her talk about how I need a haircut.

L and M had frozen pizza and frozen yogurt last night and watched DWTS. L keeps saying she needs to clean the house but she hasn't done it yet. I got a new harness which is okay but I don't like when she puts it on me.

We ran 4.5 miles this morning which is far enough for me. I'm glad they stopped taking me for the long runs.

Rainy day

L and I had the hardest time getting up this morning. She thought she would get up early since no run today (yay!) but she wouldn't get out of bed for the longest time. We hate rain but at least no thunder or lightning.

Last night was like old times. M came over and they had dinner/watched tv. they had leftovers from Sunday's BBQ and M wasn't feeling great. I can't wait until she is better. Tonight I think they are getting sushi which doesn't interest me as much as burritos.

Last night at bed time I was a bit unsettled and walked around the apartment a bit. L found me in the kitchen and shepharded me back to the bedroom--she likes when I sleep on her bed. Truth be told, it would be fun to have my own room one of these days but then L would have to get a bigger apartment.

L is Back!

L survived the great outdoors. I'm glad that she left me at home bc I dont think I would have liked a week camping and kayaking although the peeing outside wouldn't be new to me. I was so excited to see her and I couldn't stop crying and kissing her. She is very glad to be back in civilization. She is going to download her photos one of these days. She had a huge icky bruise on her leg but it is finally going away.

While she was gone the Continental Shoppe burned down in a big fire. Luckily all the dogs were rescued. L wasn't sure where I would get groomed (I say grow it long) but then B told her they have a little van out front.

Yesterday was a BBQ at B's house with all the cousins. I tried to get lots of food and was somewhat successful. got yelled at a few times. oh well. i love to eat.

the big race is coming up. M is getting worried but I know she will do fine. we ran this morning and I tried to catch a few squirrels. no such luck though. they have to do 9 miles this wkend. hopefully, they will leave me at home.

i promise to be better about writing; just been too busy lately. L has got to clean her apartment and do laundry tonight. it's getting out of control.

Back from the big apple

L is, I mean. I stayed at B's and got a very good report. When L picked me up, I had all these green thorny things stuck to my fur and I didn't like it when she was removing them. They didnt bother me any. oh well. L had a fun time in NY. She took the train both ways. They went to a restaurant called Whym on Friday night which was really good. She had a coconut mojito.

Oh, before she left, we all ran the long run of 5.5 miles. It was pretty hard and I was exhausted after. L had to pick me up when we went over the bridge bc I dont like how the grates feel on my paws.

On Saturday, L and T had lunch at a diner, got manicures and pedicures and met J for shopping. L picked up a few things in Sephora but nothing big. On Sunday, they went to a yoga-inspired jewelry store and L got a necklace with an Indian symbol that is supposed to remove obstacles. She needs that. It was a fun wkend.

I was very happy to see her on Sunday afternoon. Last night, she, M, N and her sister who is visiting from Ohio for a month went to Brasserie Jo for restaurant week. Not good at all. L said it was a waste of calories. She is not going to go back there.

I hear we have a run ahead for us tomorrow but it shouldn't be long like Friday. L also has to return her new sneakers bc she has been getting blisters. Apparently, they are too narrow for her feet. She was shocked at this since who narrower feet than her?

Jury Duty

L was very relieved to not have been selected as a juror although the potential cocaine selling case sounded interesting. It would have been 3-4 days and she would have had to drop me off early at B's every day so it's all for the best. I was very happy to see her when she came to B's with her Subway Veggie Delight wrap. I didn't get any.

I got very angry with Tina yesterday bc she stole a plastic cup that I was inspecting. My whole nose was inside it (a few Cheeze-It crumbs) and she came and stole it. I growled loudly and jumped on her but she still took it. Later on, I growled again at her a bit b/c I was still mad but we have since kissed and made up.

Last night, I slept over B's since the girls had the red sox game. they ate hot dogs and then giant pretzels following the soft serve debacle. I missed their 4.07 mile fun run this morning although I hear from M, she didn't find it that fun. L is going to NYC this weekend.

Lightning McQueen

The girls are nuts. They went running outside this morning in the rain. Granted, when we first started out it was only raining lightly but then it came down in buckets and major thunder and lightning. One time it made L jump. I wasn't too scared but I got really wet and dirty. At one point I jumped on L to pick me up but she didn't. We ran 4.07 miles which is the furthest we have gone. When we got back, I was so hyper. I ran around the apartment (well after I shook out a bunch of times) and jumped on the bed. M wore her new wristbands and was quite colorful.

This weekend was fun. On Friday, L and I slept at Barbara's with the kiddies. They went to Plaster Fun Time and Bill's and JP Licks. I had dog food at home. On Saturday they had to go to Ipswich for Will's dad's funeral. It was Old Ispwich Day and a ton of tents and stuff. The girls went with Adele and Martin.

Yesterday L picked up her sunglasses and bought a shirt and a pair of pants at the Benneton sale.

Double the fun

So this morning, I got a wonderful surprise and Auntie M joined me and L on our run. I was really good--I saw a dog and didn't even bark or mutter under my breath. One slightly embarrassing thing happened though. I had to do my business and L forgot to bring a bag and I went right in the middle of the sidewalk. I didn't see anything wrong with that but the girls looked aghast.

Last night, M suprised L and got delicious veggie burgers with mushrooms from UBurger. They smelled great but I only got a piece of lettuce that fell on the sofa. Then they had frozen yogurt that L kept saying she ate too much of. It's like a broken record with her sometimes. The girls watched two funny Entourages while I ate a bone on top of L for a while. My face got all wet from it. L kept falling asleep during Top Chef and was surprised that Chef's favorite girl Leah got kicked off.

L back from CT

It turns out L's trip only had to be one day. She hadn't told me that she was going to sleep over so I wasn't any more excited than usual to see her but she was happy. She drove a lot so she was tired and a bit cranky when she got home. We went on a walk last night with Barbara, Jack and Tina. I growled at a dog a bit but didn't bark bc i had on my barking collar which L recently refilled so it is super strong. Last night L ate a lean cuisine that smelled so good. Usually I dont bother her while she is eating those, but I couldn't help myself. She wouldn't give me any but a piece of tomato sauce spilled on the magazine so she let me lick it. She is a pretty messy eater.

We didn't go running this morning even though she had her clothes out. tomorrow for sure she says.

Busy weekend

L had a busy weekend. Friday night she met that guy she met at the Pour House on Tuesday at Sibling Rivelry in the South End. She thought he was a bit pompous from talking to him at the bar and on the phone but he was a complete fool. When she got there, he was exchanging numbers with some girl (not attractive either) at the bar.

Then they sat down outside and he just talked about himself. He was 33 and is downsizing his apartment and getting rid of his car. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? He made a huge deal when he found out how old L was ("That is hillarious"--and he said it like 20 times). The dinner was good but L would have rather been getting a pedicure. She then walked all the way home and it took about 40 minutes.

On Saturday, she had a polish change on her toes and met the girls and kids at Johnny's Luncheonette for Daddy's birthday. Then they went back to Barbara's and went to the playground and played wiffle ball. That was fun. They also walked to JP Licks. On Saturday night, she went out for E's going away party at The Enormous Room where she had TWO mojitos. Very strong. Then M met up with them and they went to the Cantab. L got pretzels when she got back at the vending machine but she got her thumb jammed and it still hurts.

Yesterday she had a huge headache. She is not drinking this week at all. She went to Eastern Standard for breakfast with M and couldn't look at the menu. She was able to eat of course though. Then she searched forever for a black sweater she couldn't find and then found it. She took a nap for about an hour and then B picked her up and they went shopping. She bought a pair of pants and another dress (this is her last one for the season) at Benneton (Big Sale), prescription sunglasses, body scrub to replace the one that the girls broke on Friday, liquid eyeliner and a pair of merrill's at Marshalls. Then they went to Barbara's for a BBQ. so fun but L had too many baked lays.

This morning we went for a run. I saw a bunch of geeese that I pulled the leash at but I couldn't get close. I think tonight the gals are getting sushi again.

TGIF

L has had a very busy week. I stayed at B's last night and luckily it didn't thunderstorm like the weather guys thought.B told L that a dog peed on a little rug in the room off the kitchen. I told L that it wasn't me (I bet it was Tina). L. went to Cornwall's last night with K. fun but she's tired today. After work, she is getting a manicure (French I think) and then meeting B for a snack and maybe at trip to Folklorica. Tonight she is meeting that guy at Sibling Rivalry but she doesn't have high hopes. Tomorrow, she is going out for breakfast with T & M and the kids for daddy's birthday. She wants to get new sneakers this weekend too. She and Mel signed up for the Boston half marathon which is on Oct. 7. L can't wait for training to begin.

This morning L couldn't find the pump that goes with her fancy carot body lotion and she was looking everywhere. It is driving her nuts. Maybe it's with the Eliza B sandal...

Saturday night she is going out for E's goodbye party. I've only met E a few times but L is going to miss her.

The girls are finally coming to the apartment today. It definitely needs it. L and I dont know how we get so messy; we just do. She needs to buy me dog food; there is none in the house.

Survived the groomers

I hope this is it for a while. I was so glad to see Barbara when they picked me up. While L hasn't seen me yet I look really pretty. J couldn't stop sniffing me! I took out the stupid red bow they put in my hair. I can't wait to see L tonight.

Last night, L went to the Pour House to watch the Red Sox game with M and Cr. She had a gigantic bud light and drank the whole thing. She talked to some guy who may be a bit pompous but it was a fun night. Then she and M went to JP Licks for frozen yogurt. Choc. chocolate chip. This morning she was supposed to meet C to go running but C never showed up. L waited 10 minutes and then went running herself. C has not been very reliable lately. She set the alarm clock wrong.

L is going to sign up for the Boston half marathon today. She may try to get M to join her...

Another Monday

I have to get better about blogging. I told her L we should do it at home but now the computer is all messed up and she has to go to the data center in the corner of the living room to type. She needs to get that fixed. I stayed at B's this weekend. very fun as usual. On friday night, L got a manicure and then C picked her up around 8:15 to go to B&G Oysters in the s. end. She was hoping for a nap but couldnt squeeze one in. But C's car died and then they had to get it jumped (L has no clue how to do that) by two people who were nice but then asked for a donation. C had to drive the car back to Somerville and they took a cab back to boston. They didnt eat dinner until 10:30 but they sat at the bar which L like's. They had a good bottle of wine. K came too but A ended up staying in Somerville. They then went to 28 Degrees which L didn't like. Too sonsie-like and full of jerks for her taste. She then went to Crossroads.

On Saturday, L went to REI with M and B. The sleeping bag guy was a jerk so L didnt buy one. She did buy a hair thing, water bottle, hat and pants. She needs to go back on July 28 for the Garage Sale. She bought a bunch of stuff for the trip at Marshall's on Sunday for a lot less money. Last night, M and L got sushi and watched Curb Your Enthusiasm and Army Wives. They missed most of Extreme Makeover so they couldn't figure out what the family's hardship was.

On Saturday night, we slept over T's which was a lot of fun. I slept on M's bed and barked a few times. M moved around a lot. I took a pizza role out of Ava's hand and ate it. so yummy but L said that wasnt nice. On Sunday, we walked to Finagle a Bagle and I got a lot of crumbs and barked at a dog.

L and I ran this morning. We both drank a lot of water when we got home.

Tonight they are getting burritos. I just found out that I'm getting a hair cut tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to. I think I look pretty with the long hair but L says she likes to see my Audrey Hepburn eyes.

Whats with the storms?

I hate thunder. It woke me up around 3 a.m. and scared me. I had to hide out in the crate again but L had removed the mess of her clothes that were lying on it last week so it wasn't as dark and cozy like last time. She said she would put a towel on it to make it like a tent for me. I didn't sleep well and then this morning I couldn't get up when L was getting ready. I overheard her tell B that she was worried I didnt feel well but I think I'm just tired.

L. had a busy weekend. On Friday, she went to Game On! where her and Mel had mediocre at best nachos (not worth the points) and then to Lir for a few drinks. M was a bit cranky but it still was fun.

Saturday was a total disaster waiting for Comcast; M was not happy at all but at least it is all done now but L has to call Keisha to complain and get some money off. They are simply ridiculous. After that, L went to JP Licks (L got terrible belly ache) and Folklorica and where she got that heart necklace that M has and she really likes. She also got a pair of earings. Both were 20% off.

On Saturday night, L met E2 and a friend of E2's at Jury's. L were her cute new brown dress from the GAP and her new necklace. The girls were very late so L was annoyed as she is always on time. In the meantime, L started talking to three girls who were sitting at a table. They were fun and got L's card. She hopes they call so she has more people to go out with. A random guy with a ponytail and Led Zepplin t-shirt read her Tarot cards something that L usually wouldnt have done. Something good is going to happen but L has to stop worrying.

On Sunday, L had manicure and polish change on toes with T and then went to B's. The kiddies, M and LB were over. Then she and T went to Old Navy where she bought three tank tops. Then they went to the Barn where L got blue keens for her trip.

Maxie liked this color best. Last night, M and L got sushi, watched a poignant Extreme Makeover Home Edition, a bad Cold Case (why do they need to solve these old cases) and a pretty good Army Wives. L wants to be spunky like Roxie. Catherine Bell's husband is a terrible actor and so barrel chested.

New lady at the front desk this morning

We have never seen her before and she didn't offer me any treats. I looked at her expectedly but she didn't even look up. L said that I was going to eat breakfast soon anyway but I was disappointed.

So last night, L and M had sushi AGAIN and we all watched the finale of Project Runway--they kept puzzling over design 13--and the red sox game. then auntie took me out in the rain and me and L went to sleep. I cuddled very close to her. There was no fireworks or thunder so I had a peaceful night sleep. Tonight L is going out with M (I dont know why I'm never invited) so I'm sleeping at Barbara's. so much fun and I get a lot of treats when I'm there. Much more than what I get in the city.

Comcast is coming tomorrow morning so L is happy that is done. M doesn't understand why she got it.

Glad July 4th only comes once a year

I hated the fireworks last night. I tried to lay really close to L but I was still scared so i went and slept in my crate which I haven't done since i was a baby. L felt bad for me.

Yesterday, we all went to a cookout at B's house. It was fun. I played with J and T, and ate a lot of crumbs. The kids and the girls and B went swimming but I just watched and ran along the pool sometimes.

On Tuesday, the Comcast guy came and L is happy that she now has more channels inc. FX for Rescue Me but she was frustrated that they couldn't hook up the tivo or do her bedroom.I was very good with the cable guy and sniffed his equipment. They are coming back on Saturday to do the DVR, internet and phone.

L bought a few new dresses this week and she told me that she can't buy anymore.

Been too lazy to write entry

but I am going to try to be better. A lot has happened in July. First L, B, T and M went to Martha's Vineyard. They had the best time but I missed L terribly. She brought me back a pretty new leash and collar though. I was so excited to see her when she got back and I couldn't stop crying.

Last week, I had to go to the vet; no fun at all. L was very pleased that I weight the same as last summer-14 pounds. Dr. Brum said it was a few additional ounces but L disputes that since I had my heavy leash on and Dr. Brum was holding me.

Also, for some reason thunder and lightning scare me and I shake a lot. I hope I grow out of this.

For some reason, L likes pirates a lot lately and she ordered me a new collar and leash. I will look very tough in it. She is saying that I need another summer haircut soon but I hope she forgets about it.

This weekend, I stayed at B's and slept with Tina on Friday night. L went out with the long-haired realtor but it wasn't that fun. He is a bit disheveled and not that interesting. Saturday, she went shopping with B. and bought another dress (and another one on Sunday--she told me not to let her buy any more dresses this summer) and got ice cream at the truck and watched the game with M on Saturday night. Also, L discovered that bubble tea is a lot of fun. Last night, M#1 was back so they got sushi. They had a lot to talk about since she had been away. M learned that there is no such place as Dallas, Washington.

L is a bit worried as B told her that when C was going out yesterday I refused to come in the house and he tried to get me in for 20 minutes, and I wouldnt come. He finally had to leave me outside. I just didnt want to come inside but L is all upset about this.

L made a vet appointment for me with Dr. Brum for June 26. Not looking forward to that.

Last night L and C went to Pigalle and Jury's. The bar was pretty dead for a Thursday night. At the restaurant, they sat outside and the waiter forgot about us so C complained. Then the hostess brought us free glasses of sparkling wine and they were all nice to us. L had really good salmon and a glase of Rose. It was a fun night but L is tired today.

L and the girls are going to Martha's Vineyard next week for her birthday. I hope it is good weather for them. L is worried that I won't behave while they are gone but I will do my best.

So last night was a treat, L and I slept at Barbara's which was fun although L headed upstairs around 10. She kept falling asleep during the Real World Las Vegas Reunion show.

She went to T's for dinner last night and they had the Real Deal which she said was so good but probably a zillion points. They both had a greek salad wrap that T said did not have fried chicken in it but it ended up having it. It was really good and L is such a nervous wreck about work she ate it. She is still having horrendous time at work and is really nervous. T gave her grandma's ring to wear for good luck which was so nice of her. Max and Ava were so cute but they were a bit loud and Max kept crashing his bike into toys on purpose. Ava told L that she is a pretty girl and beautiful. so cute!

L had her last physical therapy session with Cindy today. She found out that Cindy is only 4'8. She is looking forward to seeing some movie about some French singer that is coming to the Coolidge Corner Theatre. Cindy loves France and takes french lessions. She also takes yoga once a week and ice skates three times a week.

Tonight L is supposed to go out with Chantal so I think I'm sleeping at Barbara's again. Yippee!

So last night, M came over and the girls had WW ham/egg sandwiches and a cookie treat. I had my yummy bone and we watched two old SVUs (L. loves Stabler) and the good scenes from the last Office. L had horrendous day at work and didn't want to go to bed since she knew she wouldn't be able to fall asleep. Before M left, they insisted on playing a few rounds of "Pipey, Save Me" which I don't find that fun but they love it.

This morning, I got excited bc M called early but there was a slight crisis: her bathroom was flooded and she said she thought she was in a rain forest. M had to get Finbar and call Scott. What a nightmare again. We ran into her in the lobby which was fun but I was preocuppied by Herman/Sherman and the prospect of a treat.

Last night, L, Mel and I watched Army Wives on Lifetime. Very good! Season finale of Entourage which was really good too. They had burritos and I kept bothering L. for some of hers but I only got a few crumbs. Mel took me outside and the British guy gave me a biscuit.

This morning I woke L up around 6:20 and we played for a bit. Then she dropped me off at B's for a day with Jack and Tina.

Ug, I'm so sick of the rain. I get all muddy and dirty and sometimes it makes me scared. L. almost bought me a Juicy dog bed at TJ Maxx this weekend that said My dog is cuter than your dog but it was $70 and since I already have 4, she showed an unusual level of restraint and didnt get it.

I slept over Barbara and Jack and Tina's this weekend b/c L. was out and about. She went to the Red Sox game on Friday and met Erin on Saturday night. I was so happy to see her on Saturday and Sunday that I cried.

Last night I played with a few of my toys from my toy chest and watched the red sox game. I woke up around 1 a.m. and started barking.
