Now I am 6

Hello Pals--I had my yappy 6th Birthday last week---yipes my eyebrows are starting to turn grey & Im enjoying my naps in the sun more & more---luckily I still have lots of energy for running along the beach & hunting!!!---My Birthday celebrations included fish & chips in the park with Mum & Dad---I got a new soccer ball--but I really liked my old one cos I'd chewed a good hole in it for carrying around---it wont be long before I chew a hole in my new one. The best part was my meaty bone which kept me busy all day---I had to bury it for awhile--just to get some added flavour. Now I am 6 mum thinks Im not as anxious as I used to be---newpeople dont worry me as much--and Im avery good boy when I go to the Vets to get my nails trimmed---still dont like baths --I prefer just agood wash & rubdown with my towel.---Im enjoying being 6!!!

Hooray for Rain

Hello Pals ---Im excited to tell you that our town has had buckets of much needed rain over the past few days--the best for about 3 years---our dam is now full again--the wild ducks are loving it---the frogs are croaking & the grass is looking greener already.---Mum took me for a walk down to the dam & let me have a little swim around the edge where it was nice & clean--I had a good frolic & didnt even get muddy paws. Dad is really happy because hes had to water all our growing trees by hand---more time to spend with me.!! Today is my Aunt Marillyns Birthday so we went for a good walk down by the river---there were lots of dogs taking their humans for a walk--cos with all the rain weve been confined to barracks. I wuv seeing her cos she always has a special treat--today it was a SAUSAGE----mum said no more treats today after that!!! I was a very good boy while they had a coffee & chat at the icecream parlor ( water only for me). ----Woofs & licks from Paddy

Fast Boy--born 4th November 2009

We have a new foal at my pad--Charlie, my human nephew( age 7 )named him fast boy cos he hopes he will race very fast.He loves to run around in circles & kick up his back legs. Im not allowed to run & bark at him but Im learning to sit & watch.Hes the third foal to be born here so I know the rules!!
My city cousin Monet visited for the weekend & Im exhausted--he kept me on my toes--lots of run & tumble.Things were going fine until he tried to take my carrot! that Dad gives me when he feeds the horses.Igave him abig warning not to touch---Luckily there were no bad feelings & we're still good buddies.----I hope all my pals have a pawsome Christmas & be kind to your humans--Licks & wags from Paddy

Im Back!

Gosh--- its been a while since Ive pawed in my diary. Had my yappy 5th Birthday last month celebrating with fish & chips in the park.Im a lucky boy--I got a knew kong for power chewers & a snuggly soft cushion for my pad.-----Its now Winter here down under--still can go for a run on the beach but too cold for swimming--just a paddle.Princess our foal has gone to another town to be trained as a harness racer. Stargirl her Mum will be having another foal in October so I will have a new pal to talk to through the fence. Dad takes me for a little bush walk in the mornings up the back of our property--in the summer we sometimes see a snake but now they have gone to sleep for the winter.Mum says thank goodness the lizards & frogs have also gone underground cos I go a bit crazy when theyre around--just being a good Jack Russell! I hope my city cousin Monet will visit again soon--havent seen him for awhile & hes such good fun. ---How are all my Dogster pals?---hope to hear from you soon B.O.L.----Woofs from Paddy Pumpkin---Thats my name--hunting for food is my game!!

Unwelcome Visitors

The other night it was pouring with rain all night---Mum & Dad let me sleep indoors on my little bed in the loungeroom cos my pad on the verandah was getting wet! Yippee I like sleeping indoors--I had to check on Mum & Dad ---sooo jumped on their bed about 4a.m. & gave them some nice licks--Mum wasnt very happy so had to go back to my little bed---OK! Anyway about 6.30a.m. I could smell some unwelcome visitors outside so had to let Mum & Dad know--they let me out & I barked my scary watchdog bark----would you believe there were the 2 biiiig Rotties from up the lane in my backyard---Igave them a piece of my mind---luckily there was a fence between us or they might have been cactus!! Dad eventually shooed them home-- I think they just wanted to play- but I had todo my security work like a good Jack Russell should --BOL.

My 4th Birthday

Yippee-- Today Im 4 ( or is it really 28 in ourworld ). I got lots of tickles & rubs from Mum today cos she didnt have to go to work. Also a new blue collar & leash for my Birthday outing----first we drove to the beach where I can have a good run & sniff---I love to roll in the wet sand ---the water is getting too cold for swimming but I had a little paddle! Then we drove to tne park for Fish & chips--Have a look at my photo --such good manners for a piece of fish---Dads cool --he lets me have a couple of chips. Thanks Mum & Dad for a great birthday treat.....Yappy Birthday to me.

Rain n' Drains

It rained for 2 whole days at my pad so Ive been confined to the verandah and indoors---Mum has tried taking me for walks in the rain but I dont like that blue thing that she puts on my back--doesnt she know that real dogs dont wear clothes-BOL! Anyway last night it stopped raining enough to walk down our street--a bit reluctant at first but as soon as Mum says drains Im off.Being a good terrier detective you never know what might be in those drains. There were lots to inspect down our street --it was fun cause water runs through these big pipes under the driveways & of course that means lots of frogs ! Their croaks sounded very loud--I even had a drink and paddle in one of the puddles! I didnt catch a frog but it was fun looking at those drains!!!

New Additions to my Pad

I hope all my pals had a very Happy Christmas. Ive added a couple of photos----Our mare Star Girl had her foal last month-- its a filly & her name is Princess. She loves to frisk around the paddock & is already nibbling at the grass. Im not allowed to get too close to her & Mum is very pleased I dont bark when she gallops around. My other photo is of my new funny bunny that Santa Paws gave me for Christmas. Its now my fave toy--I pretend I caught him & put him on Mums feet! Happy New Year to all my Pals---Wuff from Paddy

A visit from Ella

On Monday Ella my pal from Sydney visited my pad with her Dad. She is sooo friendly & cool (see photo)--I had a great time running after her & she even let me smell all the girl bits--I was a thorough gentleman! I let her play with my soccer ball but she tried to kill it & wouldnt let go. When her Dad finally got it back & threw it again I let her chase it first so I could get another good smell. Hee hee. After some liver treats it was time to woof goodbye until next time.
